A Few Hints on What to Get Him for Valentine's Day

Updated on April 14, 2016

They don't have to be a super hero to receive a little something from you

That's me. Straight chocolate is not what I tend go go for. How many times have I gotten that heart shaped package? I have stopped counting. It also seams like there is always one piece left that I don't like. And not all boxes list the kinds of chocolate that are within the box. So you have to take a small bit out to know what it is.

I like to know what I am eating before I take that first bite. There is currently a big rush for the bacon flavored products on the market. sorry folks there will be none on this site.

When it comes to suggestions - or out right hinting

How do you let the loved one in your life know what you would like?

Who says men don't like flowers?

That's right men like flowers too. Although a dozen roses might not be their choice of gifts. I admit I have seen some guys at work turning red in the face as flowers arrive with an I love you note attached.

How about this instead. A single flower that they can wear on their lapel. This would give them the chance to show up at work and have those around him ask why? All he has to say is because my wife loves me. I know that there are others that can give you flowers but did say that this was hints for him and the wife will be reading this at some point.

I know that there are a lot of flower shops out there that would love for you to stop by.

Men like their tools and they like their chocolate - So combine the two and see what you get

Whats that you say, there are chocolate tools? Its like the best of both worlds. And I can't take the credit for this idea. My church has been giving these out a couple of different times over the years. There have been milk chocolate, dark chocolate and white chocolate shaped tools. They are usually for fathers day but they could fit as a valentine's day gift just as well. Don't you think?

Sometimes kisses in any form are worth more than you know

After seeing this picture I bought a bag of kisses and tried to make my own version. No luck. So the kisses went to work and given away. To see the origin of this picture click here

Chocolate Cheese Cake

When your grooms cake is a chocolate cheese cake and married for 23 years and counting...

Yes I have people at work asking me do you still like chocolate cheese cake. In fact just yesterday at work that came up in conversation - January 14. 2013. I like all kinds of cheese cake. You think that they would remember that I had brought a cheese cake to work just a week before and shared it with everyone.

In fact the local store where I usually get my cheesecake and where this picture came from know that I like the chocolate version. Often times will say when marking them down that they are thinking of me. Again yesterday there was a chocolate cheese cake in the day old section. Its too close to pay day to have walked out with it though. It was so hard holding it in my hands just wanting to sample every one, more than once...

Words of advice - when you are hungry don't go shopping for food and don't type about your favorite desert.

Yes Guys like chocolate - And some like coffee so here are the best of both on Amazon

I admit that I don't always go for chocolate. Although lately I have found a kind that is coffee flavored chocolate. It has brought together two things that I don't like and made it worth going back for.

In fact just yesterday at work I was going through my things and found a bar of this coffee flavored chocolate. I had forgotten that I had it. Needless to say I was happy. Shortly there after I went down and cleaned out the coffee machine and made a fresh batch for everyone else. Like I said I don't like coffee.

Choceur Coffee and Cream, Milk Chocolate Combined with White Chocolate, 7.05 Ounce

This one I have found at a local store and tend to keep well stocked at work. I also found it on Amazon but could get four bars locally for the price of one there.

Chocolate is sometimes considered candy - So here is a word from our "sponsor". The makers of chocolate.
