My Christmas Wishes
I rarely make lists of what I want but there are 3 things I would like. These are purely wants not needs and if I don't get them it's fine. More likely than not I won't but it's nice to dream. :)
These are things that I've been wanting for some time now. They may be utterly simple or overly extravagant depending on the person that bothers to read this hub.
This was purely done for fun but it would make my year, heck it would make my life if I had any one of these things!
As I'm a big believer in karma and all things related I would like to wish for my children's happiness and safety foremost. That's the mom side talking.
Now the me side is saying I WANT THESE! :)
Wish # 1: Kindle
I want any kind of Kindle. I'm not picky. Ever since I found out that such a device existed I've wanted it so badly. I LOVE to read and it would be a dream to have something that can hold thousands of books. I'm an avid reader and I think the true test of a bookworm is someone who will read anything. I will READ ANYTHING.
I have an iPhone (given by a family member) with a Kindle app which is fine for now but I'm hoping to have a Kindle as a dedicated e-reader.
This is a bit expensive for me but I know it would be totally worth it IF I had the money to spare. Hey, you never know... Maybe one day.
The Kindle Fire boasts of its capacity to hold over 23 million movies, TV shows, songs, magazines, and books. It also has thousands of apps. Amazing!
I love to read and watch movies and TV shows while my children love to play games. This would be perfect for us.
Wish #2: Make Over
I would love to have a make-over. Having had 3 children the most recent a 2 year old you can probably understand my desire to have a make-over. I don't want anything over the top but I would like a new look and a better wardrobe.
I usually find myself setting aside extras for me and if I ever had the opportunity to receive this believe me it would last for years! I enter the occasional contest but I don't have much luck when it comes to contests and the like.
Being a mom I rarely put myself before my children. Hence, the wish list. Now I just need the body to go with it!
Wish #3: A Large Bowl of M&M's
Now, I know this wish is ridiculous but I've always wanted a large bowl of M&M's all to myself.
When I say large I mean large! I can see this happening... It's not extravagant just very indulgent...
This doesn't work too well with wish # 2 but what the hey! These are just wishes!
Wish #4: A Laptop
I'm a work at home mom and a fair amount of my time is spent on the computer working on line.
I have a desktop (2 actually, one given by my employer) and it would be great to have a laptop that I can bring with me to my bedroom or kitchen or outside when I have errands to run but need to put in a few minutes time to work.
I've heard plenty of praise for the Mac and it would be incredible to actually own a top of the line laptop. Since it's a worthy investment maybe I could justify the purchase since it's "work related". :)
Wish #5: Trip to Italy
My dream destination of all time has always been Italy. It might be the writer or the wistful side of me who wants to run off seeking a new adventure. Italy is the place I see myself finding these things.
There are beautiful spots that I'd love to visit and just to name a few...
- Rome to see the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Pantheon, Spanish Steps and Colosseum
- Venice to see Bridge of Sighs, Verona, the home of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, join the Carnival festival, and to take a gondola ride on the Grand Canal
- Florence to see Piazzale Michelangelo, Ufizzi and Pitti Palace
- Genoa to see the beautiful pastel colored houses and Baroque palaces
- Naples to try their famous pizza, spaghetti, parmigiana and their pastries
