The spa isn't the only place you can treat your skin to a nice relaxing facial. Get spa-style treatments for a fraction of the cost by making homemade facial masks using the ingredients right out of your kitchen. Listed below are just a few quick and easy face mask recipes you can make at home.

Banana and Yogurt Facial Mask

If you're bothered by wrinkles, this homemade banana facial mask may be just the thing for you. Simply mash a small banana until it's nice and creamy and add 2 spoonfuls plain yogurt. Apply it to your face and let it sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.

Oatmeal and Honey Facial Mask

Homemade oatmeal and honey facial masks are great for removing the dead skin cells that give your skin that dull lifeless look. Mix 1/3 cup of oatmeal and 1/3 cup of honey in a blender and blend the mixture until it's smooth. Spread the mixture on your face and neck. Let it sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.

Egg and Oatmeal Facial Mask

Egg and oatmeal facials are great for firming and toning combination skin. To make this homemade facial mask, mix 1/2 cup of oatmeal and 1 egg white in a small bowl. Add a drop of almond oil and stir the mixture until it's thoroughly blended. Spread the egg and oatmeal mixture on your face and let it sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.

Avocado Facial Mask

Avocados are not only good for eating; they make great facial masks because they're full of skin moisturizing vitamins like B and E. To make the avocado facial mask, mash a small, peeled avocado until it's creamy. Mix in 2 teaspoons of olive oil. Gently massage the avocado mixture on your face. Let the avocado facial sit on your skin for 20 minutes. Use a damp cloth to wipe the mask off of your face and then follow with a warm water rinse to remove any residue.

Since the ingredients in these homemade facial masks are all natural, the risks of adverse reactions are minimal. However, if you notice any facial irritation, discontinue use immediately.
