5 Stupid Questions from WOTLK
58I am constantly amazed at how utterly stupid people can be, especially when they have already proven themselves to be smart. Take Wrath of the Lich King, for example. Players of World of Warcraft already have to have made it to level 70, or at least the upper 60's, to get to Northrend, so they know how the game works (unless they bought their way there illegally, but that's another story). Here are the five most-frequently asked questions on the Borean Tundra side from day one of the expansion:
#1: Where is the flight master?
The flight master shows up as a green exclamation point on your mini-map. While you're running around Warsong Hold looking for everything else, keep an eye open for it. There's an elevator with a wooden floor next to the zepplin landing, and the flight master is on the top once you ride up.
#2: Where is the elevator?
Usually asked by the same people who just asked #1. The elevator hides pretty well, considering it has a wooden floor which matches the rest of the hold. However, it moves, which should make it very visible if you look around for it. It is up the ramp behind Hellscream, next to the platform for the zepplin.
#3: How do I do _______ quest?
Seriously, how did these people get to level 70? If you read the quest log for most quests, it tells you exactly how to do the quest. If you're still not sure, download the quest helper app or group with people doing the same quest you are on. Someone on Bonechewer even created a macro telling people to read the quest log.
#4: Where is the _______ trainer?
Use the "track skill/profession trainer" on your mini-map. That is what it is there for. The skinning/leatherworking trainers are at Taunka'le Village, and a quest-giver in the inn can direct you there. But, again, this is a no-brainer if you have played the game for a while. The same person who created the macro for #3 created a macro for this as well, and we all applauded.
#5: How do I get back to Orgrimmar?
Hmm...the same way you got here? Up the big staircase to the wooden platform and wait for the zepplin. If you have asked three or more of these questions, chances are you need to ride that zepp back where you came from and do some more quests before you come to Northrend again. Are you sure you're level 70?
