Did you know that there is even a National Smile Month?
Created to raise the awareness of the importance of oral health care, National Smile Month for 2009 will be from May 17 to June 16.
With over 30,000 Americans diagnosed with oral cancer each year, it reminds us to take extra time to pay attention to our smiles and oral health. The important thing to remember is that 75% of those cases could be prevented and 90% are treatable when detected early. That is a really good plug for regular dentist visits, don't you think?
