How To Accept A Bad Gift

Just accept it no matter how much you don't like it. Decline a gift is rude in my culture (Chinese), and I believe that it's true in many cultures. You can sell it on eBay if you don't want it, or give it to sb. whom you think maybe need it.

Once upon a time, Confucius was fallen ill, his friend heard about it and sent him a pack of herbal medicine, Confucius bowed and thanked him, accepted this gift, and left on the shelf without cooking it and tasting it. His disciples asked why he didn't tasted the medicine, he replied: I don't know what's this medicine for, and don't know if it's good for my heath.
