No Wait Make And Eat Ambrosia Recipe
Ambrosia
Ambrosia is a word that originates from the ancient Greeks and basically means: food of the Gods. I really like a good ambrosia, it's very tasty and easy to make. I prefer fresh ingredients if I have them but, I believe this is one of the best ambrosia recipes if you don't have fresh ingredients or you are trying to save time. If you have fresh ingredients or you would like to substitute a few different ingredients feel free to do so.
Ingredients
- 1 - 8 ounce can mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 - 8 ounce can pineapple chunks, drained
- 1 - cup coconut, shredded
- 1 - cup sour cream
- 1 - cup whipped cream
- 1/4 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
- 1 - cup miniature marshmallows
- 1 small jar maraschino cherries, drained
Directions
This particular ambrosia recipe has got to be one of the easiest to prepare, because all you have to do is just mix all these ingredients together, then chill and serve. It makes a great holiday side dish, salad or dessert. Of course, it would take a little bit longer to make, if you are using fresh oranges and pineapple, but even then it's a simple and simply delicious dish to prepare.
On the right, I have included three videos of some very good ambrosia recipes. One is a very traditional ambrosia recipe, very similar to this one, but one of the others is prepared by a chef and it looks amazing. I hope you enjoy this ambrosia recipe as much as I do!
