The name of this stone is derived from Latin words which means sea and water. This Gemstone is found in a range of blue shades, from the palest pastel to greenish-blue to a deep blue. Legends say that aquamarine is the treasure of mermaids and has the power to keep sailors safe at sea and prevent seasickness. Aquamarine is also said to bring harmony in relationships. This is the wedding anniversary stone for the 16th and 19th year of marriage.It is birthstone for March. This stone is most suited when Jupiter is well placed in the ascendant in their natal charts or those born on Pisces and Leo Zodiac signs. This is incorrect. Aquamarine is the birthstone for the month of March, not February. February's birthstone is Amethyst.
