Are You A Christian

I saw all the recent intrest and bickering back and forth on the Hubs about Christians , Jesus Christ , Muslims and related subjects and thought I would make one about what it really means to be a Christian.

I truly believe in all my heart that many people who profess to be Christians are anything but. Buildings and clothes do not make a Christian. And its interesting to see what the Lord Jesus Christ says about it in Matthew 25 31-46 and you can click the link and read it and it will open the passage in a new window.

Ask yourself these very important questions.

Do you feed the hungry ?

Do you clothe the naked ?

Do you shelter the homeless ?

The Lord Jesus Christ says that if you do not do it unto one of these least of men ye did not do it unto me. And ask yourself this very important question have you ever heard your preacher or priest preach about Matthew 25 31-46. If not why not. Ask?.

Its really sad that a lot of people are mislead by clergy or get caught up in the moment and think that by helping to build a bigger and bigger church building that they will be okay when they die. That this will in some way make them into a perfect Christian. Or they think that somehow the clothes they wear to church will some how make them into that perfect Christian. Do you realize that the biggest finest churches have few if any homeless or poor attending church on Sunday. Why? I hope that these few words will make a few people think. Don't take my word for it go read Matthew 25 31 - 46 and see what those words say and how does your church and your Christian life match up to those words.

A lot of people think that dressing up and going to church on Sunday makes them a good Christian but have you ever just set down and read the Bible and thought about what Jesus said for you to do to be a good Christian. And let me give you a hint. That million dollar church building has nothing to do with being a good Christian. No that money needs to go to the poor and hungry. That is where Jesus would spend it.

Don't take my word for it just set down and read what the bible says about it. All too many people think that fancy clothes and big church buildings make you into a true Christian when nothing could be further from the truth. So wake up an dlearn what a true Christian is before its too late for you.

To see and to be seen is unfortuntly why most people go to church. And to help raise money to try to build a new wing on the church building. Clothes and Buildings do not make a church and do not make you into a Christian. Wearing a three piece suit or that new fancy dress and running out to the all you can eat buffet after church also doesnt make you a Christian. Instead of putting the money in the offering plate go buy a few gallons of milk and deliver it to the local homeless shelter. Do you even know where the homeless people live in your town or city? Do you know what the needs are at the local homeless shelter. Do you lnow that there are 33 million hungry people here in the USA and that 12 million of them are children. Even one hungry child is one to many. What can you do to become a real Christian so that you can live up to the words in Matthew 25 31-46.
