There are many species of bamboo, more than a thousand, adaptable to different kind of environment. It can be harvested 3-5 years. It tolerates extreme precipitation of rainfall.

Bamboo shoots contains 18 amino acid and less carbohydrates, crude fat, crude fiber used for people to lose weight. Sap can reduce fever. Its ash can cure prickly heat. It contains mineral, iron, manganese and potassium.
