Metro Mess and Traffic Woes,when is this going to end in north,south,east and west all work taken right at spots that makes life on razor's edge.Traffic diversions takes you in the wrong direction to go to the right direction.The walk I used to go in 2 minutes for a letter to be posted in the post box takes 10 minutes.A curse by a Auto Driver is a bonus on the way for not waiting for him to go first.Any material standing over 5 feet is used to keep as a road block for traffic diversion.Traffic Police will be waiting to catch Motor Bike Riders going with out a Helmet,since they have not gone any training to handle the traffic of such amazing proportion.Service Roads are main Roads.Foot paths are all dug up for laying concrete slabs so that more woes are in Que for pedestrians.Roads are so much widened that there is no foot path and people have to walk over drainage covered by slabs some places left open so that at least one person gets washed away in these uncovered pits during heavy rains. Ques at signal are welcome to pedestrians to zig zag their way from one side of the road to other.Ask any worker anything about the progress of the work in local or English language they say Hindi me bola.Ask them in Hindi they say they don't know,ask them who is in charge they show a person who looks like a man who has had no food or sleep for over 72 hours.Ask him where does he come from,he says Assam.That's all rest he will just gaze at you with a sad look which says wish I could know that answer,when I asked him the diameter of the huge road digging or boring tool which is over 10 feet perhaps,how deep you can't see unless you want to fall in to it.No barricades on that huge pillar foundation pit.Workers wear Helmets not for safety but for head count as there is no mark of ISI standards prescribed for Helmets.There is no Logo or mark only yellow color.
