Blagdon Water Gardens is one of the oldest retailers of water garden products in the UK. They sell all kinds of water garden products from ponds, fountains and related accessories to all kinds of aquatic plants, fish and reptiles everything that you may need for a water garden.
In six acres of glorious countryside, while the Mendip hills peeping in the back, the centre could not be set elsewhere! If you are fond of water gardens then visiting this old school water garden retail store will be a remarkable experience for you. Though in the countryside, the centre is not remote nor in an inaccessible location. Just off the a38 (Devon Expressway) south of Bristol, the centre is only 20 minutes or so from three of the M5 junctions. Their collection of water garden products in one word is, “Massive”. They have plenty of demonstration ponds and waterfalls to help the first time visitors choose water gardens with ease.

Blagdon water gardens are available in all sizes and shapes. Their pond collection is just awesome. So many models available, no matter what your budget is, you will surely find a suitable one for yourself. Fountains, from small solitary ones to large fountains that can be integrated with the ponds, birdbaths, waterfalls and all types of accessories to make your water garden a piece of heaven.

Surprisingly the website was down at the time I wrote the hub. It must be down for maintenance. So, at this time, you can’t order their products online. To buy something, you will have to visit the water garden centre, which of course is a great option for a day out plan.
The site where Blagdon Water Gardens is located was the site of a large kitchen garden in the 1970s. In 1984 Michael Chivers, a small retailer of water garden products, bought the place and established the water garden centre there. In 1999, the garden centre was bought by the Smith Brothers who had great success in Nursery business and wanted to get a hold in the retail business. And since then they are running this classic Blagdon water gardens centre smoothly.
