Both of Me
53
There are two sides to me
They battle here for supremacy
One mindful and mannered
The other ripe and reinvented
Happy to be the randier me
When in, non-coincidence we collide
A delightful game of flirt and flavor
Playing with words and dreaming of skin
But when knowing replaces meeting
Now under your gaze, ashamed
I want to hide this wanton girl away
Search for the purity gone astray
Or would your rather dance with us
Weaving the seeker with the nymph
The educated to the inquisitive
A twirling kaleidoscope of you and we
Perhaps a Tango made for three?

Thanks for dropping by ledefensetech . Glad you like it.
A threesome is definitely, do-able, Randy! Wonderful job, you sly fox!
Thanks dohn121! Sly, who me?
beautiful. wonderfully spoken, those inner battles, who to let free, who to be, who to show, who to hide. It was worth the wait.
Randy, this is exactly what I mean! I enjoyed reading the variety in this poem, Randy. Well done, as always, mind blowing!
I think I have to let them coexist Frieda. Just need a dance partner that like both of me. Thanks for the great comment.
Aidy, I can always count on you for a nice comment. Thanks much.
Edgy poetry—I like it. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Edgy, really? Hmmm, just my life. Thank you for reading it. :)
RANDY I LOVE THIS...IT IS SO WORTH THE WAIT! The mind works in mysterious ways and the pen has a way with words. I would say clever girl....
Oh thanks Paris! I have trouble writing because I should. I do so much better when I write because I must. Today was like that.
I do like this one. Taste, is what it has, and flavor, to me.
I love the poems that come out of their own accord. Let no one be excluded from the dance.
This is great Randy. The choice of Identity... so man options. I feel the more facets, the more intriguing!
Thanks eyes! I'm glad you found flavor in it.
I agree Jess, poetry that comes from the gut instead of the brain is my favorite.
I liked that Invictus; I have a multi faceted personality. Sounds like a disorder. lol.
Disturbing and wonderful :p
We all have dynamic personalities, and it's nice to meet the rare few who embrace all their different faces!
There's a delicate balance between hiding and flaunting, and I believe you maintained it perfectly.
Nice to meet you Holly. Thank you for the thoughtful comment. Its a matter of perspective I suppose. One would say I flaunt it and another would say I'm much too shy.
The ballet in your mind is a wonderful treat.
Incarnations ... or is that incarcerations of your mind out on paper like the Roarschak... only for us to decipher.
Free you are... me I'd like to be.
dance away who cares as long as we get such good poetry to read
What a pretty way to put it! Thank you Enigmatic Me.
Hi Brenda! Thanks for giving me a read. :)
I like it very much, Randy. The battle within. Very nice!
Oh, by the way...I'd rather dance.
Thanks Chris I'm glad you like it. Rather dance than?
RB -- Definitely worth the wait, and the inspiration from Cris A really complements the tone of your poem. And the poem itself is so you ... and you! LOVE IT! MM
Thank you MM. I love that you think it complements me and me. :)
I absolutely love it...but I've yet to find anything of yours that I didn't love!
a tango for three? then's it's no longer tango, is it? an intoxicating read. thanks for sharig :D
Oh thanks KCC! I wonder if anyone can identify with me?
Come on Cris if two of them are in my body and one surely know how to wear the dress, its a Tango!
I see you're backing away from your Randy side....would never work....she'll always be there hiding in the shadows. Better to give her her freedom.
You'd be surprised how much leash I've given her Blue... just in the real world this time. lol.
Good for you....catch me up sometime.

Hey girl, long time no see. Very Zen, I like it.
