I admit I am a huge MMA fan, and i will definitely watch more MMA fights this year than the old fashion "Sweet Science", but its weekends like this that makes me remember sitting with my late father watching the Hearns/Hagler, Leonard/Hearns, Hagler/Hearns fights, and even when I was older getting to watch the greatest trilogy in the Gatti/Ward fights, and the unbelievable out of nowhere slug-fest of Corrales/Castillo 1. It will definitely bring a tear to my eye this weekend when two of the three best welterweights in the world go at it in the square circle. The heavier Cotto whose only loss is to the hands of Antonio Margarito, who by the way was busted for having an illegal substance in his gloves in his next fight which really makes you wonder if those cuts and bruises all over Cotto's face were from legitimate punching power, against the amazing speed and power of Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao who hasn't lost a fight since 2005 to Erik Morales, whom less than a year later he dismantled in the 3rd round. I was going to go through this and explain a fight comparison defending my opinion of why I believe Cotto will come out of this the victor, but I dont feel my opinion or any one's opinion really matters when it comes to a fight like this, the only thing that matters is that we get to witness true experts of there profession battle toe-toe to see who is better. Please if you are a boxing fan tune into this fight because you don't get to witness fights like this every year. \

Now there is a way to ensure we get to witness one more great fight like this next year, we all know after the winner is declared we are going to have to witness a war of words between the winner and hopefully his next opponent Mayweather. So to Floyd "money" Mayweather if you plan to be ringside to witness this great fight please bring a pen and a contract and jump in that ring afterwards and sign the dotted line saying that a fight between you and whomever is standing next to you as the winner will be fighting next summer to show whose the best. That way we don't have to wait a week to find out which one of you went home and thought about the fight and backed out. Lets make them sign the contract in the heat of the moment, when both are on national TV. Neither ones pride will let them back out at this moment with the spot light on them.
