Buy LG Ally Screen Protectors Online

Updated on May 18, 2010

Nowadays cell phones have large, touch sensitive, high quality screens and the LG Ally, is no exception. This is all well and good, but it makes the screen even more integral to the usability of the phone and so it is important to protect the screen. There are a number of ways of doing this, but one of the most popular is by using screen protectors.

Screen protectors are thin films of plastic which are placed over the cell phone screen to protect it from scratches and abrasions caused by day to day use. Many people use cases instead, but these provide no protection to the screen when outside the case and don't allow you to handily place the phone down wherever you want and so screen protectors are an important way of protecting your phone.

The LG Ally is no different, protecting the screen is imperitive to keep it in a usable state and screen protectors can do this. Also they are relatively low cost, especially when considering the total price of purchasing the LG Ally and so many experts, inclduing those within the cell phone industry recommend them being used.

Screen protectors are placed on the screen. They work in a simple manner, rather than the screen becoming damaged or scratched the screen protector is on top and is damaged instead. Once the screen protector becomes damged or scratched more than is desired for use it is peeled off to reveal a pristine screen on the LG Ally (as long as the scratch/damage didn't pentrate the screen protector which for the vast majority of instances isn't going to happen). A new screen protector is then put on in it's place.

There are a variety of companies offering screen protectors. Some claim that their screen protectors are so good another one will never be needed, some offer free lifetime replacements and others are much cheaper and designed to be replaced regularly. The LG Ally has just been announced and so it is not yet possible to purchase screen protectors from many major retailers, however it is possible to pre-order from Amazon, ensuring prompt delivery of the screen protector meaning that the LG Ally screen is protected as soon as possible.

To the right is the only screen protector currently (at the time of writing) available to purchase from the Amazon.com website.  It costs $9.99 and whilst this may seem like a lot relative to the price of the LG Ally it isn't; and so purchasing this is a worthwhile task to protect the screen of the LG Ally.  This screen protector has a number of advantages:

  • Bubble free application meaning when the screen protector is applied to the LG Ally annoying bubbles don't appear under the screen protector.
  • Dust repellent.
  •  An anti-reflective screen protector avoiding annoying screen glare on the LG Ally.
  • Finger print free.

For these reasons this screen protector seems like a good buy for the LG Ally.
