Cause Of Heart Attacks

The underlying cause of heart attacks is atherosclerosis. This is a fancy combined word, meaning:

Atheroma - the formation of masses of yellowish fatty and cellular material in the inside walls of the arteries.

Sclerosis - the hardening of this stuff, forming plaques.

Thus there is a narrowing and hardening of the arteries, which need to remain flexible to do their job properly. Narrowing arteries can easily become blocked by plaque breaking off or blood clots. If this occurs in arteries supplying blood to your heart, you get a heart attack. If this occurs in arteries supplying blood to the brain, you get a stroke.

I was "lucky" and only had a heart attack, which obviously I survived. Which would you prefer, a heart attack or a stroke?

The cause and cure of heart attacks was known in 1953 (see Willis image on this page) but neglected until Linus Pauling and Matthias Rath got together in 1989.

By the end of this page you will know more about the cause and cure of heart attacks than most medical practitioners.

Almost 2 years after my heart attack...

Cause Of Plaque Buildup

Unlike most animals, human bodies cannot make their own Vitamin C. Vitamin C is needed to  produce collagen. Collagen is essential to maintain arteries and veins in good condition (as well as everything else in the body). Remember why old people have wrinkled skin? Disappearing collagen. So what do you think is happening inside the body?

Without collagen the blood vessels wear down (especially in the high pressure areas at the pump - the heart). The body has figured out an emergency solution. The liver produces a sticky substance which patches up the tiny tears in the walls of the arteries. It's called cholesterol.

Cure For Heart Attacks

So, the cure for heart attacks? Megadoses of Vitamin C to restore collagen production, and Lysine to remove the plaque. There you have it. The cause and cure of heart attacks. Too easy. That's why it's being ignored.

Heart Attack Survivor

How do I know all this? Simple. I don't want to suffer another heart attack. I was very fortunate to survive a very bad heart attack - which you can read more about at my cardiovascular hubpage.

So I researched the subject and reversed my own CVD (cardiovascular disease) within a matter of days. Yes, days. Yes, reversed. And now pass on the knowledge whenever I can. Some people listen. Most don't, including my GP, my cardiologist and my dad. I hope you will.

WHA - not WHO

Don't take my word for it. Go to the website listed below - World Health Alphabetization - and get the facts. It's all done in pictures. I "borrowed" some of their pictures to put together this hubpage. I'm quite sure Dr Rath won't mind!

I haven't discovered why it's called World Health Alphabetization yet. Certainly it's in reference to WHO (World Health Organization) which, as far as I can tell, is more about drugs than health. Also it may be that by using pictures (like those on this page) they are "spelling it out" for the layman.
