Cherry Coke Ribs
60This recipe we tried last summer and it was a big hit. My wife doesn't like cherries and she took to these pretty well.
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 to 5 pounds pork spare ribs
1 (12-ounce) can Cherry Coke
1 (12-ounce) bottle Heinz chili sauce
2 tablespoons Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons hot pepper sauce
(10-ounce) jar maraschino cherries
1. In a dutch oven or soup pot, heat oil over medium-high heat and cook ribs 8 to 10 minutes, until brown on all sides.
2. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well. 3. Reduce heat to medium and drain off excess liquid. Pour cola mixture over ribs and cook 1-1/2 hours, or until ribs are cooked through and tender, turning occasionally.Serve with your choice of sides. We usually have baked beans, sweet corn and a saladPrintShare it! — Rate it: up down flag this hub
