Garden Christmas Gifts

Christmas is a great time to give a gardener a gift, especially one who is looking at snow rather than soil. There are a number of excellent gifts available and with little effort you should be able to find out that will please that special someone, for aren’t all gardeners special?

A garden journal makes a perfect winter time gift; it is too early to get out and work that garden but it is the perfect time to set down your thoughts and reams for the new years.

You can begin with a remembrance of gardens past; what made your excited and what really ticked you off.

Work forward from there. A journal is an excellent way to keep track of the gardening process so that you can look back at where you have been as you plan where you are going.

Gardening books are another great gift and there are so many to choose from that you can find the ideal Christmas present.

My favourite garden books, after the how-to ones and the problem solvers are books that tell me more about one particular plant. David Austin’s The English Roses: Classic Favorites and New Selections is a title that comes to mind.

If you know what the person likes then you can pick a selection that matches the individual’s interest. If organic gardening is a passion and it should be, then Rodale will be a good place to shop. They are organic experts and have published a large array of books that can help the gardener achieve success.

Do you know any children who love to garden or do you plant to encourage your own children to get dirt under their fingernails as if they needed encouragement?

Rittenhouse has a line of children’s garden tools that are useful, child friendly and attractive.

Does your gardener save seeds, well there are books that can help but what I would like to suggest is a seed storage kit. Seeds of Change make just the perfect item.

They have an excellent selection of gifts and their online catalogue is worth a visit.

Speaking of seeds, they make a great stocking stuffer.

Garden accessories, hats, shoes and gloves can all be ideal gifts and they come in a range of styles, colours and sizes.

If your gardeners has all the tools, books, and accessories she or he needs, and who really does, then consider a set of solar lights, a birdhouse, bird feeders and small water features such as a bird bath or fountain.

Wind chimes add the dimension of sound and can harmonize with the birds that are busy enjoying the black sunflower seeds in the new feeder.

Garden gifts for Christmas there is something for every gardening style.

Another useful tip article. I will call about the seed saver. Will buy some plants too for my son, who will soon be planting food for the coming hard times.

"Christmas Gifts any Gardener Would Love". I love all the gifts but you spelled my last name wrong. Should I leave my address and you can surprise me?
