Creme Fillings
Creme filled cupcakes are very easy to do. You can fill cupcakes with anything that you like. I have seen many fillings from, creme to peanut butter. This is the only way I know that you can correctly fill cupcakes with any filling.
Cupcakes need to be cooled before doing this, so make sure you let cupcakes cool on a cooling rack before doing the filling.
Step 1: Use a knife and cut about 1-in to 1 1/2-in deep depending how big your cupcakes are. cutting in a circle going around the center of your cupcakes.
Step 2: Once, you have your circle cut out, there should be a circle missing out of your cupcake. Take the piece you cut out, and cut off the extra so you are just left with a "lid" you did it right when you place the "lid" back the on cupcake, and you still have a hole in the middle of your cupcake. (that's where the filling is going)
Step 3: In a zip lock baggy, place creme inside bag, hold tight, snip the corner off, and fill each cupcake with creme filling.
Step 4: Once you have you filling in each cupcake, place the "cupcake lid" back on.
Step 5: Now, icing or frosting your cupcake like normal. No one will ever notice how you filled your cupcakes.
Ideas For Fillings: Vanilla Creme, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Cream Cheese, Chocolate Creme, Lemon, Praline, Raspberry, Chocolate Fudge.
Two-Tone frosting? Multi color frosting? Why only use one color, when you can take your cupcakes to another level just by adding more colors! You can do this very easily and only takes a few minutes. I'll explain how.
Multi-Color Frosting:
Step 1: Make your frosting and separate into bowls. If you are using four different colors, then you will need four different bowls. One color for each bowl.
Step 2: Blend food coloring very well into frosting. Make sure it is completely mixed.
Step 3: Spoon out each color, and place in a large bowl. This is the most important part. Slowly fold colors together. Do not mix completely. You don't want it all one color, just fold enough for colors to blend a little together.
Step 4: Spoon out frosting and place in a piping bag, pipe frosting onto cupcake, just like you would normally.
Step 5: Let frosting set by letting them sit on a cooling rack or in refrigerator. Tah-dah! Colorful frosting. Enjoy!
Two-Tone Frosting:
Step 1: In two different bowls, mix two different food colors, one bowl gets one food color and the other bowl gets another color.
Step 2: Mix colors completely until the color reaches a prefect solid color. You shouldn't see any white at all. Well, unless you are using white as a color, but mix completely.
Step 3: Spoon out one color at a time, place one color on one side of the piping bag, and the other color on the other side on the piping bag. So, you have two different colors side by side.
Step 4: Pipe onto cookies in a swirl, and you will end up with two different colors coming out at the same time, as you swirl your piping bag, the colors will come together.
Step 5: Let frosting set on a cooling rack or in refrigerator. Tah-dah! You have two-toned frosting on your cupcakes. Repeat as needed. Enjoy!
Color Tips: When mixing 2 different colors, make sure that they equal a good color when mixed normally because sometimes, colors can mix when swirling it onto cupcakes. So, you wanna make sure the color is a color that goes well with whatever holiday or theme your going for.
Different Color Cupcakes

Rainbow Cupcakes:
Step 1: Prepare your batter the same way unless you are planning on adding extract into your colors, and if that's case, wait until the end to add it. Separate batter into however many bowls, you need. Place one color into each bowl.
Step 2: Mix very well. Blend the batter completely in each bowl, so when you are doing mixing, it looks like a solid color.
Step 3: If you would like add a different extract to each color. Examples...Yellow = Lemon extract. White = Vanilla extract. Red= Cherry extract. Green= Peppermint extract. But this step is optional.
Step 4: Take a little batter at a time and pour into cupcake liners. One color at a time. Do not mix them, just pour a little bit of each color batter on top of each other, filling the cupcake liner.
Step 5: Place in oven and bake. Open one and you'll see different colors layered on top on each other. Place on cooling rack like usual.
Mixing Tip: To make marbled cupcakes, separate vanilla and chocolate batter, and spoon out each one going back and forth, then take a toothpick or a raw spaghetti noodle, Swirl just a little bit until both batters look like they kinda mixed together, but do not fully mix.
