Danforth Ave in Toronto, Ontario, Canada is the gathering place of Toronto’s Greek Canadian community, as well as those who want to partake is some fabulous in culture, food and entertainment,

The street takes its name from American contractor Asa Danforth, who had been commissioned to lay down the road in 1799 . As Toronto grew over the past 200 years, so did this vibrant community in the ciy’s east end. Today, The western portion of Danforth Ave. is the heart of Toronto's Greektown community., It is a street area in history, culture, and delicious restaurants.

Danforth Ave is best known for its patio restaurants, and the wonderful the smell of their fabulous Greek food. Although best known for grilled calamari, scrumptious gyros, stuffed vegetables, souvlaki, flamming saganaki and Greek pastries, the Danforth actualy offers visitors a wide array of different international cuisine. There is indeed something for everyone’s palate.

• The 'Taste of the Danforth" is an annual street festival. Held each August, “Taste of the Danforth” welcomes over 1 million visitors a year.
• The "Big Carrot Natural Food Market" opened on the Danforth in the mid-1980s. and is the focal point of the Carrot Common mall. The mall features 17 stores which surround a central courtyard and popular meeting place
• “The Music Hall” is a 90 year old performing arts venue located on the western end of Danforth Ave.
