Dirt Cake Recipe Is Always a Fun Hit

Dirt Cake Recipe Ingredients- Makes about 12 servings
- 2 lb package chocolate sandwich cookies
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 4 (4 ounces each) packages instant chocolate pudding (already mixed and prepared)
- 12 ounces thawed whipped topping
- Gummy worms
- New, unused plastic flower pot or beach bucket
- Artificial flowers (optional)
- New trowel (optional)

How to Make a Dirt Cake Recipe
Crush all of the sandwich cookies finely. This is the 'garden soil' for your dirt cake. Mix the crushed cookies with the melted butter. Use this mixture to make about a two inch layer crust on the bottom of the flower pot.
Next fold in the whipped topping with the prepared chocolate pudding. Spread this on top of the bottom layer. Add the gummy worms, but save a couple. Then top off with the rest of the crushed cookies mix. Place the remaining gummy worms into the top of the soil so that they are sticking out. Refrigerate at least 12 hours.When you are ready to serve your dirt cake, you can place artificial flowers into the center of the cake. Be sure to cover the stems with foil or cling wrap.
