To remove underarm hair is a good idea. It helps with excessive sweating, body odor, and cleanliness in general. Looks better, feels better, smells better.

If you're a woman you most likely shave or wax your underarm hair completely. But removing underarm hair completely may not be the ideal solution.

Underarm hair has a unique relationship with excessive sweating and body odor.

Sweating has nothing to do with underarm hair. You'll sweat the same amount hair or no hair.

But having underarm hair has two disadvantages:

Hair gets wet and stays wet longer (pit stains, discomfort)

Hair may become odiferous (stinky)

These two problems become more noticeable if you have a lot of hair in them thangs.

Don't know how to shave your pits? Here, check me out on video doing it.

Maybe a Little Hair Under There?

However, having a small amount of hair is beneficial. It absorbs some of the sweat, but doesn't get too stinky.

So if you're currently removing underarm hair completely, go ahead and grow a little stubble : )

If you have extra hair in your underarms, get rid of some of it. Especially if you have body odor, too.

Why? Because the hair can take on the bad smell, too. So not only your pits are stinkin, but now your hair stinks too. Which is no bueno.

In order to get the absorption benefits and avoid the stinkiness problem, don't completely remove underarm hair, just trim up. Cut the hair short, but don't shave it.

Removing underarm hair in this way can be achieved with scissors, clippers, or a beard and mustache trimmer.

I use Norelco's Beard and Mustache trimmer and it works like a charm. It has different settings that allows you to control the length of the hair. It's easy to use, easy to clean and maintain, stores pretty easily, it was cheap, and its lasted a long time so far.

Get in the groove to remove underarm hair today!

(Remember--trim your underarm hair so there's just a small amount left. Not totally bald, though) : )

Axillary Hyperhidrosis Treatments  says:

There are many treatments for excessive underarm sweat - also known as axillary hyperhidrosis. The first port of call is usually topical, medical grade antiperspirants.

More severe cases demand iontophoresis or even Botox. However, there are also a great many natural treatments that can be tried.
