Dude, What Would Happen premiered on Cartoon Network as part of the CN Real block of live action reality show programming on Wednesday, August 19, 2009. First off, I am kind of hesitant to even think that live action stuff belongs on a network with the name cartoon in it, but I try to give these shows a chance in the thinking that if they are good Cartoon Network will make the move to creating a CN Real channel and return Cartoon Network to an all cartoon channel. That being said Dude, What Would Happen is not a good example of a show that would make me want to watch CN Real programming more.
Dude, What Would Happen is basically about 3 guys (I think they are high school age teenagers) thinking of random things to try out and then doing them. The first episode they do crazy things involving liquid and one of the guy's car and things involving helium balloons. Some might find it interesting to see them do things like fill the trunk with lemonade, driving with the car full of water, and making the car into a hot tub on wheels, but I just found them to be really stupid and pointless stunts. The second round of stunts involved using helium to make a stuffed penguin, a sumo wrestler, and one of the guys fly. This was just as crazy and really does not make for an interesting show. I am not saying the stunts could not be cool, but really they really only seem like the kind of things that could be fun to see in person and perhaps even experience.
The main thing that I found annoying about the show was the guys themselves. They just came across as total idiots. Sure, they may be creative if those are really their ideas, but the way they talk and such just really showed they were stereotypical dumb perhaps high teenagers. I know I am older than the crowd this show it supposed to appeal towards, but I have a feeling that the whole crowd that even watches the channel does not want reality live action shows in the first place and this one is not going to bring in new viewers with its poor quality.

you are right this show is dumb. like you I wanted to see this show. It was just dumb. I also read on wikipedia it targeting 9-17 years old more like 3-8 years old also the way they did stunts were dumb. for exaample they were driving a remote control car and you controled it via steering wheel on the roof. mythbusters had it a little remote controller but on the roof thats just plan dumb overall this show has little to no entirtament value. so the only ones who will watch it are people who are high, 3-8 year olds and 12 year old girls starring a cj for the entire epidsoes
this show is living proof that even dumb shits can get their own tv show. i got a suggestion fo an episode dude what would happen if you all set around a barrel full of active grenades getting ready to go off. while wearing no protective gear just a stupid-ass grin.
to think of all the food they waste like all the wasted talent on this (show) ,GET A REAL JOB BOYS

I get the premise a cleaned up version of jackass, and my 4 year old son thinks it's the bomb i just wish they would put a little science edge in it....lol typical parent :) I was a little weirded out in the episode where they ran around with a blow-up doll though.

Personally, i watch this show and i love it. You may say its a mythbusters ripoff but not every high school kid watches that show and they want something that appeals more to their age. I guess you could say they're dumbing science down a bit and making it fun.
Makes you wonder who is sleeping with who that these kids got this show. Im sorry but reality tv on a CARTOON channel? This is a sign of epic fail and really CN just needs to go back to the basics of just showing cartoons that were actually funny and original. This flapjack and chowder business is just about poop jokes and making fun of obese people. While some may find it funny I just take it as a lame excuse to make a fart or burp sound to get ratings. Whenever these shows come on I make sure my tv is not tuned to the channels so they dont catch me watching it and raise it one point on the rate o meter. Sorry CN better go back to the drawing board.
