Excellent Website- RedGage

Updated on March 16, 2010

RedGage is a wonderful site that I have been a member of for just over 2 weeks. I love RedGage. The community of members so far seems very positive, nothing negative that I have seen yet. Wonderful and refreshing. On RedGage you can post links to your websites and articles, videos, photos, document, blogs, and you can write blogs there. The system is fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it. The help you receive is prompt and to the point. How RedGage pays you is according to page views. The more page views the more you make on your content, photos and anything else you submit to RedGage. Redgage has tools that can automatically submit your content to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, and Blogger. This is very nice as you don't have to go to these sites to have your content submitting, saving valuable time. It's a great feature. Another component of RedGage is the featured content area. If a RedGage moderator likes your content they can feature it. And you get a bonus. I have been featured twice on some of my content and have made $9.30. At the time my content was featured I had only 12 views. So as you can see it's not the views that get you featured it's the content. Have good content and you have a chance to get featured. Way cool. All this in just over 2 weeks time.

Uploading Content

Uploading your content is very easy on RedGage once you get the hang of it and understand the site. When I first joined the help section was a bit sparse in terms of information. I was confused. Not being horribly computer savy I felt the need for a bit more information on getting started. I have spoken to one of the RedGage moderators and she told me that RedGage is working on improving their help information. Some people just need to be told where to click and when to click in no uncertain terms. I am one of those. But the information was just not there. So I started to click everything I could on the site and learned what to do and how to do it in a matter of just a couple of days. But I do appreciate that RedGage is listening to their members and are making there help section better. So to upload content is pretty easy. On any page you are viewing on RedGage, at the top right corner there is a red upload button. Click that and you are ready to get started uploading your content, links or whatever you have. When you click the upload button you will get a drop down. On the left side of the drop down you are asked to click on the type of content you want to upload. When you do this the appropriate area for your link will show up and you can browse your computer to get this link, or photo or whatever. For writing a blog you will get an area for the writing of that blog. Give your content a title, tags, and a description of your content, hit upload button and you are all set. Some sites want to review your content before it is published but at RedGage as soon as you have uploaded your content you are live. I have 205 uploads, many of them personal photographs, and have earned $11.08 as of this writing. Most of that is bonus earned from 2 featured content. I have also gotten 14 visits to my HubPages content. This isn't huge but it's all welcomed. I believe in time my traffic from RedGage to HubPages will increase.

My Favorite Thing About RedGage

Ok, I lied there are several things that I consider my favorite thing about RedGage. I love being able to upload my photos. It's quick and easy. A title, description, and tags and your pics are live on the site. But the really cool thing is getting to see so many awesome photographs from other members. I have seen some truly stunning pictures taken by the members. I really like viewing the photos. And it has made me want to take my camera along just about everywhere I go so I don't miss that one great shot. What fun I am having. The other really great thing about RedGage is the community. Never once have I seen negative comments from one member to another. I have also seen a few not so great pictures and still no negative comments. RedGage does not have a forum. I see this as a plus because there is no wasted time commenting on things that have nothing to do with why you are a member of this particular site. HubPages has a forum and most of us know how awful some of the subject matter is and how some people react to that subject matter. I love HubPages and will always try to write on this site. This writing website is my first and remains near and dear to me. RedGage pays you to do all these things, and the way they pay is different from other websites. After you have reached the 25 dollar mark you may request payment. They send you a Visa Card. They charge you a one time charge of $5.00 to issue the card. And every time you withdraw money you are charged a 5% processing fee. You keep the card and after your first withdrawal, future withdrawals are a wireless transfer and fairly quick as I have been told. I am ok with this as RedGage is a free site paying me for my content that is already out there. I just don't see how you can go wrong here. Again you can't make a living with RedGage but what fun it is and a bit of money on the side never hurt anyone. If you are just looking to have fun, then RedGage is the place for you. Check it out sometime.
