Face Wash For Acne And Blackheads
Is There A Need For Face Wash?
Face wash is defined as soap or cleansing solution that is made specifically for washing and cleaning your face. Your face has many different properties that makes is very different from other parts of your body, such as the amount of pores, and it needs a more specific cleansing due to the various things that we put it through (especially women with makeup). Also, every day your face gets exposed to many things that can result in breakouts of acne and other types of skin irritations so making sure that it's washed and taken care of every single day is very important.
The following face wash products are a few types that I have used over the last few years and each one has proved to work great for one reason or another. If you're looking for a great type of face wash, then one of the products listed below should do the trick. Be sure to read through each one as they each have their own pros and cons that I talk about in detail.
Acne Fighting Versus Cleansing
Before choosing your face wash, you should think about whether you're wanting to buy these cleansing products as an acne wash, which would normally include the addition or stronger medicated ingredients, or if you simply need something to wash your face after wearing makeup or some other type of facial application. The face washers and cleansers that I list below are mostly for acne wash and blackhead fighting, but they could also double as a way to wash off your makeup, too. Like I said before, these products are what I've found to be useful and to work well for my skin, which could be different from yours, but if you're looking for a great place to start this will have plenty of good information for you.
Clearasil Daily Face Wash
One of the very first face washes that I ever used was Clearasil's Daily Face Wash and it's always been a staple in my bathroom pretty much ever since. This face wash option doesn't dry out your face and it's not overly medicated so that it causes and facial irritation. The tube is easy to use and the fact that a little bit goes a long way means that you won't be blowing too much money keeping your face looking nice and clear. I would use this face wash once in the morning and once before I went to bed, which seemed to do the trick for me.
This is one of the best starter face washes that you could choose and a great way for your face to become used to some extra amount of cleansing.
Neutrogena Women's Oil-Free Acne Wash and Men's Invigorating Face Wash
Yet another very popular face wash option is Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, which I have used several times and that many of my friends currently use. A few years ago this used to be the main face cleansing solution for Neutrogena, but they have no officially stamped it a women's product. It can still be used by men, but it now seems that they have their own product for all of the men out there that's called Neutrogena Men's Invigorating Face Wash.
From my own personal experience, the Neutrogena products seem to be much more medicated and quite a bit stranger than that of most face washes, which could be a good thing for some of you who need a stronger face wash option. But, this stronger medication usually results in a drier, tighter feeling on your face after a wash. This bothers some more than others, so you should try the our before determining if Neutrogena products are going to work for you or not.
St. Ives Apricot Invigorating Scrub
The St. Ives Apricot Invigorating Scrub is the acne wash that I have been using for the past year or so and I've been very happy with the results. One of the main differences that this face wash provides is that it's more than just a wash, it's also a scrub, meaning that it puts in more work when it comes to getting rid of blackheads and acne. The feeling that a scrub provides while washing your face is a something that you may need to get used to as it is a little rough at first, but as you get used to it you'll soon notice that the results are definitely worth it.
This particular face wash doesn't dry out your face and it leaves your face feeling nice and fresh each and every time that you use it. My fiancée uses this wash as well, so it will do the trick for both men and women so there's no need for two different types of acne wash in the show for all of you couple's out there. It's also one of the cheaper face wash options out there, which is never a bad thing.
Oxy Maximum And Sensitive Daily Face Wash
When it comes to acne and blackhead products, there might not be a bigger name than that of Oxy and their Oxy Maximum And Sensitive Daily Face Washes are two solid acne and blackhead wash options that should be taken into consideration when seeking out a good product that works.
Even though the Oxy products are normally pretty strong, they never made my face feel dry or irritated. Also, since there are two versions available, maximum and senstive, if you feel like one is either too strong or too weak, you can easily switch over to the other one.
Proactiv Solution 3 Step System Kit
For those of you who need a higher-strength option when it comes to your acne and blackhead-fighting, the Proactiv Solution 3 Step System Kit could be the face wash solution for you. This toner, cleanser and lotion kit has all that you need for a full face wash and management solution. Time and time again Proactiv has shown results for those who can't seem to manage their acne and blackhead issues with some of the other face washes that I have listed above, which makes it a very good option for anyone who needs another, stronger option.
This option take some more commitment on your end die to it's multi-step process, but given it's track record of proven results, it seems like it's more than worth the time needed to make it work.
