Facebook is the best site now. It become booming than other social networking services like Friendster, Digli, Fupei. The people who using internet connection talk about Facebook. Start from student, Mom, executive, doctor, teacher, blogger, using facebook. When we meet our friend they ask about facebook. Should we have facebook account? depending ouself. Facebook become addict, maybe we spend a lot of time in front of our computer, open facebook and  interact with our friend. We don't realize everyday, every week, every month just pass away just only doing chat, comment, send smile, post picture on facebook. Whether this is called the addicted. I just post the good and the bad site using facebook. Addicted or not back to our self who using this service.

Good side. We can find our old friend, maybe we separate for a long time ago. And we meet again with recently photo by using facebook. We can promote our product, as a seller or affiliates this is great opportunity to promote their product. Promoting website or blog to increase traffic. Find new information, if there a hot topic. It must be talked on facebook. We can express our feeling become member a group based on our interesting, school, job, or hobby. We can share to other people, give some advice or solutions. Free chat with our friend, our family in far place. We can find our match, this is for single. Meet the Soul mate with the same interest.

Bad side. When someone using facebook and become addicted. Sometimes they behave anti-social. A relationship began to dry when the individual is no longer attend the social gathering, meeting with friends or family, and prefers spend a lot of time in front of the computer. They are only interested in the artificial world. Their friends just only on facebook and difficulties to communicate in face-to-face. This behavior can increase the risk of serious health, such as cancer, stroke, heart disease, and dementia (senility). Said Dr Aric Sigman in The Biologist, the journal released by The Institute of Biology. I back to ourself. Use this service like facebook wisely.

This is the same for so many of the activities on the computer. It can be computer games or sites like Second Life. They can keep a person staring at the computer while their life slips away. What is good is that it levels the playing field for diabled and disfigured people. They have found a place where people can get to know them without fear of being shunned.

Very interesting title! If you have more free time, you can use FaceBook. However, we need control in adding new friends.

I agree that all of the social netwroking sites can easily become addicting. We then tune out the "real" world. The more technology, the more problems. Even if it makes everything easier and faster, it also comes with problems. Children don't want to read anymore, they want to open their laptops!

For Ratnaveera I gree with you, With many friends we need more time to spend in facebook. For Gwynn thanks for comment, Our children more clever than us now. We have to control and give them advice about god or bad effect from this.

I have an addictive personality.  I got addicted to chat rooms once.  Then I got addicted to email.  Then I got addicted to FaceBook.  Now I am addicted to HubPages.  All I have going for me is that I only do one addiction at a time. I'm a one addiction man.

I think many of us who write on HP are passionate about our writing. I know I have to find a balance between writing and publishing on HP and tending to the responsibilities of my home and family life. Others who spend time on HP are retired or otherwise more free with their time. We all have to exercise self control in these matters, and I think you have made a good point in this hub.

I believe facebook and other social sites can be a great tool for networking. I spend lots of time on my computor, allthough I'm not addicted. I was diagnosed with a spine disease and the internet is a good outlet for me. However I have known people who totaly ignored their responsibilites because of the internet.

Good hub...I was thinking of doing one about this very topic, after observing that I was spending all of my time on Facebook and its many applications. Now I don't even look at the games, just chat with my friends and update my status from time to time. As with anything else, the goodness and badness stems from the user - us. So, Facebook per se is not bad, I think, we just need to be more disciplined - which is not an easy thing to do.

Cheers!

Facebook is a powerful business tool as well as a great place to share information and socialise with friends and family who may live at a distance away from you.

The web is full of noise, content and distractions and if you are serious about using Web 2.0 for business you have to learn to tame some of that noise, manage content and syndicate quality information in a way which is time efficient and not time draining.

Good information Prasetio!
