Yes! You Consult the Dictionary Before Playing

Don't let the heading fool you, the Dictionary feature in Facebook Scrabble Worldwide does not form the words for you. You suggest a word, and the Dictionary tells you if its valid.

And its completely legal too.

You get started by simply clicking the red 'S' at the bottom of your Facebook screen and the application will load. This takes about three minutes depending on your connection speed. You select the level of game, from beginner to expert; and the duration, from 2 minutes to days really.

But the most amazing feature is that you get to consult the dictionary before playing. It will not form words for you, but you get to verify the words you have formed.

Do you remember real world Scrabble, you used to prefer a neutral scorer who would check the dictionary to prevent involuntary cheating? Meaning you would not want a player to check the dictionary and involuntarily glance at other words.

My wife and I used to play a lot of scrabble games in the early years. It was great for friends and church fellowship.

Career pressure and all, the board gathered dust.

Then came online Scrabble and Literati. I thought I was good but some experts are out there. Of course there are the hordes of online cheats who are using anagram programmes while you and I are struggling away with our honest lives forming words as we know best.

Well Scrabble Worldwide on Facebook does not make you immune to the cheats using anagram, but it sure helps the honest clean gamers who want to validate words.

Unfortunately for facebook members in North America, Scrabble Worldwide is not available in USA and Canada. I am curious to find out what is available to them.

Thanks for dropping by RNMSN. Look out for the players of Literati who cheat with anagram software.

If you can't play Scrabble online, you can always play it on your PC.
