Are your words in agreement with God's will?
Are your words lining up to what you believe? If there not, they will eventually catch up to you because you sowed it from your heart. Not only do our deeds, and decisions that don't require words catch to us because we sowed for there harvest; so do our words. Words are very powerful and come from the heart. Words can also cut deep into someones someones heart or life for harm or good.
We even have to believe in our heart and confess with our mouth Jesus is Lord to be saved Rom 10:9-10 Our Salvation alone shows the heart's connection to our mouth and our mouth is for confessing what we believe in faith. Faith comes from the heart, believed in the heart by the receiving of God's word, what God spoke.God's common use of speaking is used for the creation of things, to cause change to happen, to activate the measure of faith He has already put in our hearts. So we can speak what we believe to change our life and world.
Jesus words were powerful and bold. He prophesied to situations, even calling them restored before they appeared like it. The whole point in Faith is to trust and believe what God said, and that he is faithful to do what He promised.
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Gal 6:7
So do you really love the words coming out of your mouth? Do you want it's fruit?
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." Pro 18:21
God promises a long, blessed life to those who keep their tongue from evil. “Who is the man who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit” (Ps 34:12-13).
The words that we speak, are they life or death? Do they give us hope or discouragement? Since we are held responsible for every word we speak, I think we had better listen very carefully to what we are saying, not just to our brethren, but also to ourselves.
Notice what Jesus said: "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned" Matt12:36-37
What you allow to come out of your mouth reflects what's in your your heart
So do we pray for God to heal us and quote His promises from His word and than allow fear to come in and cause unbelief to ooze out our mouths?
Or better yet keep saying how sick or broke we are? If so we are shooting down what we petitioned to God in the name of Jesus. Also it so reveals there is still doubt in us and we should immediately repent and speak life as God has given us to choice to do so and even says "choose life" .
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live Duet 30:19
Our faith in God isn't just shown by our prayers, refusal to do a sin but In every area of our lives we are to bear good fruit. Our mouths haven't been left out of God's instructions. Our words can help or hinder us. Not a magic potion of words but our word's mixed with faith moves God to do what is impossible for us to do.
“the thief comes not, but to steal, and to kill and to destroy”. John 10:10 If the devil can steal the word of God from your life, he can kill or destroy you.
Remember the parable of the sower, the devil comes to steal the word
(Luke 8:11- 12) “now the parable is this. The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear, then comes the devil, and takes away the word out of their
hearts, less they should believe and be saved”.
All evil comes forth from the heart and proceeds out of the mouth. " The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jer 17:9).
"...For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh" (Mat 12:34).
"But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies" (Mat 15:18-19).
You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. Matt 12:34
But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.' Matt 15:18
We need the circumcision that is of the heart, by the spirit (Rom 2:29),
then the evil that comes out of our hearts will cease. "And I will give them one new heart, and I will put a new Spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh" (Ezek 11:19).
Let us take a moment to see what the heart expresses through the tongue. "And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and is set on fire of hell, for every kind of beast, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?" James.3:6-
Is our belly satisfied and filled with life, which is Christ, and live; or are we filled with the manna of death, which is an enemy, and die?
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Matt 11:12
My heart over flows with a goodly matter; I speak the things which I have made touching the king: My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Psalms 45:1
The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart —Proverbs 20:27
Keep thy heart more than anything that is guarded; for out of it are the issues of life. Prov 4:23
Listen, my son, and be wise, and keep your heart on the right path.Pro 23:19
My people perish from a lack of knowledge. Hos 4:6
FAITH & HOPE
Let's take a look look at faith and what is faith and how do we operate in it.
In the general sense of the word, to have faith is to believe in something or someone, to fully trust, to be so confident that you base your actions on what you believe. To have faith is to be fully convinced of the truthfulness and reliability of that in which you believe.
Faith in God then, is having the kind of trust and confidence in God and in Christ that leads you to commit your whole soul to Him as Saviour (Justifier, Cleanser, Healer, Deliverer) and Lord (Master, King).
The NIV translation says, "Faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we do not see."
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Heb 11:1
To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. Eph 3:8-12
For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope Romans 8:20
For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? Romans 8:24
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. Romans 10:17
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard [it]. Heb 4:2
In spite of this, you did not trust in the LORD your God Duet 1:32
I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard? Gal 3:2 Jesus, in John 6:63, said, "It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life." Do you see it? The flesh profits nothing -- the carnal mind, the written word.
Second Corinthians.3:6 says, "...The letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." So let us not speak the scriptures for the sake of being heard; but let it be the Spirit that quickens -- makes alive.
So when the Spirit moves through us, let us speak like it says in 1 Corinthians 2:4-7,"And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Heb 11:6
(Phil 2:5). Then the words that we speak are Spirit and Life. They glorify God, not ourselves
Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory. "And now, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus..." Philippians 2
Jesus said prophesy/ Imitate him as commanded
I have written you quite boldly on some points, as if to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me Romans 15:15
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let
him use it in proportion to his faith. Romans 12:6
I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified. 1 Cor 14:5
(Jesus) He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matt 17:20
Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. Matt 21:21
He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you. Luke 17:6
If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 peter 4: 11
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 1 Cor 13:2
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Matt 11:12
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Heb 13:7
These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you. Titus 2:15
By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. John 7:39
The Lord will reply to them: "I am sending you grain, new wine (new covenant) and oil (anointing, Holy Spirit), enough to satisfy you fully; never again will I make you an object of scorn to the nations. Joel 2:19
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. John 14:13
After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. John 17:1
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. Mal 3;10
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. Act 2:17-18
I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. John 17:4
As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed--the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.Romans 4:7
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. Romans 8:11
Revelation 19:10 “… for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
Revelation 22:18 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.”
So what does word faith movement mean?
Word Faith Movement
What does The word faith movement mean? I know what they say it means but what do the actual words mean in reference to the bible and how believers are to act?
Word = God's word, Jesus also called the word of God
Faith= Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Heb11:1
Word + faith = Having faith in God now and always causes us to hope for the impossible from God without evidence because we believe His word.
Movement= To move, change, a transforming movement.
Word+Faith+Movement= Having faith in God now and always causes us to hope for the impossible from God without evidence because we believe His word/ promises, = faith which causes mountains to move, lives to change, a complete transformation.
So if this is what they are calling these people then they line up and agree with God's word and His word says And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Heb 11:6
But he answered (satan) and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread ((material possessions health wealth & prosperity)) alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Matt 4:4
Go ahead call them all crazy if you dare but God calls it faith!
So are all those faith teachers right?
They say things that are positive and say they are healed, marriages are fixed, never going to be in need in Jesus name, on & on they claim God is a miracle working God and just believe.
Of course you do know these positive things, and declarations & some prophesies come strait out of the Bible.
Also the ones dishing out persecution and disapproval are doing the very thing they are accusing the Word Faith teachers of. They are taking a line or two out of context and making it appear unbalanced and all about words. Untrue very little about words actually! Our mouth is so important when it comes to what we say, and we say what we believe.
God does fulfill His word.
Example: By His spirit I will get a word or a scripture comes to mind and God says speak it. Or God will give me a vision good or bad and tell me to pray for it and intercede. Also God speaks to me when I'm driving, literally anywhere I'm at.
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it." Is 30:21
All the times God talks to me, leads me, and communicates with me and isn't just for me to say a certain thing. No, it's much much more. . Follow the voice of Jesus the good shepherd, I know the voice of God and I will not to listen to the voice of the stranger.
It is just faith which God gives us all a measure of so we can step out there and believe Him for our salvation in Jesus and for His promises and blessings.
And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.
And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred. Matt 4;17-19
Who are we to say who God should do this or that for? Isn't that a sin? Jealousy, unbelief ? And for some just persecuting the people they claim to be Christians? Do they even realize there teaching us to not know or enter into the fullness of Jesus and His power. God didn't lie when He said He would bless His people and show His power through them to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to all four corners of the earth. It's happening right before our eyes!
The body of Christ needs to wake up, repent and come into one accord for the end time harvest of souls and quit trying to quench the spirit of the Lord from doing all that has been prophesied already in your Holy Bible!
Jesus was bold and we boldly proclaim Him!
No one has a right to say God didn't say what He really said! He even backs up His people and yes they are supposed to be telling you good things- God is good- We are to calling them to freedom, to be healed, restored and more. Jesus died for all that sin causes!
For those of us who claim to have a testimony in Jesus, where is the spirit of prophecy at in our lives?
Why are we not revealing the secrets in the hearts of men, so that they may be saved and turn to the Lord of Mercy… instead, we are busy playing it politically correct, reading every body’s book but Gods. It is time to dust off our bibles and ask for a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the Knowledge of Jesus Christ,
it’s time to proclaim the word of the Lord with boldness, as prophets of God, among whom we’ve been called out of darkness into marvelous light to shine amongst a wicked and depraved generation, a city set upon a hill, not designed to be hidden, but to declare the word of the Lord with authority, with accuracy, and with compassion.
Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.1 John 3:24
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18
