Fast and Easy Tuna Cassarole

My Dad made the best tuna casserole I've ever tasted. It's a really simple recipe and I've seen some similar ones, but there was just something about his that makes me want to share it.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Serves: 4

Ingredients

4 Cups cooked pasta (he used Elbow macaroni)

1 7oz can of Albacore tuna - drained

1 cup frozen peas (no need to precook them)

1 can Campbell's Cream of Celery Soup

Can of milk

Cup Sour Cream

1 tsp dried parsley flakes

Potato chips

Mix all ingredients - EXCEPT the chips - in a large bowl.

Place half of the macaroni mixture into a glass ovenproof bowl (spray with Pam).

Layer half the chips evenly over the mixture

Pour remaining Macaroni Mixture over the Chips

Place remaining chips on top.

Bake at 325 F until bubbly. Turn off the oven and let the casserole remain for about ten minutes - this helps it set' a bit.

He served it wish a side dish of canned cling peaches.

Yummy, I love tuna casserole. I never thought of layering the chips between the noodles. Good Idea

Glad you like it - it's an old 50's recipe my Mom used - the crispy chips on the top were my favorite part!

thank you for the comment!
