How To Find True Love

Are you searching for true love? If so, you're not alone. There are many people who want to experience a happy relationship without any regrets.

Finding your true love can be difficult. If you spend too much time dating the wrong person you may be hindering your progress. No one is without flaw but, that doesn't mean that you can't find the right person for you.

Below you will find key concepts to help you in your conquest to finding true love. Please share your thoughts below in a comment and pass this along to those seeking true love.

Finding A True Love Without A Test Or List

If you have a list, then you need to tear it up. This simply does not work when finding a true love. It's okay to have standards but sticking strictly to a list is doomed for failure. No one will ever meet your expectations if you judge them based on a list. Instead of creating a list, focus on goals.

These goals should include the things that you cherish. If you want to get married and have a family, then you should be seeking someone with that same goal. When you share the same goals, within a relationship, you will find that it quickly turns into a partnership. Working together inorder to obtain these goals will build trust and overall satisfaction.

Don't spend time writing a list like this....

1. must be above 6ft.

2. has to have a six figure job

3. needs to be in great shape

4. wants to live in a large home in the suburbs

The list above is too limiting. You may desire a tall well built man with a great paying job but what happens if this man happens to have a list of his own. Would you meet the qualities on his list? Never pick out a perfect mate based on physical appearances.

If you feel more comfortable with a list, then it should look similar to this.....

1. wants to get married someday and have kids

2. enjoys traveling

3. motivated

4. romantic

These attributes are the ones that I want in a mate. Your list may be different but, I wanted to show this example in order to prove my point. My list included all of the things that I desire to share with a partner. Remember the relationship should make you a better person. Never sacrifice your goals in life to make the another person happy. You should share the same goals and work together to obtain them.

Of course, you will have some personal goals like getting a master's degree or becoming a better cook. Your mate may not have those specific personal goals in common with you, so their job is to support you.

True Love Supports You

This is the number one thing that can not be overlooked. Your true love should assist you in becoming a better person. Personal goals that are an attribute to your health and wellness deserves to be supported. Don't limit meeting your goals by having a relationship with someone who's not supportive. They will only hinder your progress.

Unfortunately, there are alot of relationships that end because of this very fact. The perfect mate should be able to support and encourage you, when it comes to things that will improve your overall well being.

Please do not waste your time if the person you're with does not support your "well being" goals. These are alot different then some personal goals that can influence the entire relationship.

There are some exceptions. It's acceptable for your mate to not support your decision to move across country because of a new job. When your personal goals interfere with the partnership goals then it's time to work out a compromise.

Attraction And True Love

Attraction is the most powerful part of finding true love. Do you remember the last time that you saw someone that made you smile? Maybe this person wasn't exactly your type but their presence makes you feel positive in some way.

Attraction does not necessarily have to be built around physical appearance. Sometimes it's just simply unexplainable energy that draws you to a certain person. Don't fight it. Find out more about them.

Finding The Perfect Love Is Not Perfect At All

No one is perfect. In fact the perfect love is not perfect at all. We all have flaws. The key here is to find someone that compliments you. If they're messy and you happen to be a neat freak, maybe you can do the majority of the house work and they can handle the thing that you're flawed in.

Perhaps you make poor financial choices. Your partner may be strong in this area and it may be in your best interest to allow them to take care of your finances. Making compromises like this will keep you from resenting each other.

A partnership should be built around shared responsibilities. Where one person is weak the other person should be strong. If you're both weak in a certain area, then consider seeking outside help. You can do some research online, read a topic related book together, or go to counseling.

Most things can be worked out if you get to it before it spins out of control. Taking care of a little thing will prevent the butterfly effect from destroying a relationship.

Love Yourself First

Self Love

Many people are taught that self love is wrong. Selfish love is wrong but self love is a must.

Unconditional Love

Don't waste your time looking for people to love you unconditionally. This is a waste, especially if you're not willing to do the same. Concentrate on loving yourself unconditionally and then others will follow.

Love After Heartache

Heartache can turn into hate. Loving someone that broke your heart is hard. Don't allow it to make you cold and unloving. Turn the hate into love and then pour it into yourself.

Love After Guilt

Nobody's perfect, we'll all hurt somebody at some point in our lives. The guilt that comes from hurting someone is not self love. It's self destructive.

Forgive yourself and be set free. It's a process and will not happen over night.

Love That Loves You Back

Everyone needs this. It's essential for survival. Throughout life people will love you and you'll love them back.

You'll even love people that don't love you back. Let those people go, you'll be better off without them.

Love That's Real

Real love should have great value. It's positive value in your life will show you it's authentencity.

The love you receive should be consistent and make you feel good.

Love Am I There Yet?

If you love yourself first then you've begun the journey. It's a lifetime commitment that should be treated as an investment. It will pay off whether someone else makes a deposit or not.
