Where to Find Free Stock Images
Google images may be great, but they may not be "free." By just clicking "view image" and saving it, you may be missing out on copyright information. Also, the quality isn't always that great.
A good source for stock photos is Stock Exchange at sxc.hu. You have to register, but its free and for the past two years I have yet to receive an email or anything from them. Just make sure to read the photographer's conditions for using their photos for public work. Some may want to be notified, so a quick email usually works.
Another stock image website is morguefile.com. I've found the quality of pictures isn't always as great as Stock Exchange, but sometimes they have more unique things.
Dreamstime is a different stock image website--you have to register and some pictures cost, but the lowest level are free.
Here's a quick list of some more websites:
Many of these you don't even need to create an account. That last picture is actually one of mine on Stock Exchange--you can visit my profile here. Happy browsing!
