Funniest You tube Video Ever! - Tim Conway's Elephant Story on Youtube

Finding entertainment online is one of the biggest uses of the internet. Online video is one fo the most searched topics because we have transitioned to a video and multimedia society. Youtube videos are a big piece of this online video entertainment pantheon, with users searching wolrds funniest videos, hilarious youtube video, funniest you tube video, u tube videos and the like to try to find another source of entertainment.

Of all the comedy videos parked on the Internet in various locations, the one that cracks me up every single time is one in which Tim Conway breaks up the cast of the Carol Burnett show with a ridiculous bit about elephants. All Carol Burnett shows were loaded with unending laughs and this is no exception as the four people involved share in as many laughs as the audience, which is in direct conflict with their supposed roles. You see they are supposed to be entertaining us, but Tim Conway turns the tables on them, entertaining them to the point they cannot continue with their skit.

A word of warning before you watch this video, if you have problmes with containing you bodily fluids when laughing uncontrollably you may want to prepare ahead. this video is absolutley guaranteed to make you laugh. That is why I feel justified labeling it the funniest youtube video ever!

There was various characters and bits during the run of the Carol Burnett show that are etched in our collective memoires of funny bits that became classic examples of clean humor. There was no profanity or sexual innuendo that was off taste, even for hat time. Much of the humore rested on the interactions between the cast members.

This paricular offering was part of the Mama's Family bit, where Vicki Lawrence plays Mama, Carol Burnett plays her daughter Eunice and Tim Conway and Dick Van Dyke play two other characters with a relationship to Mama'a Family. You may remember the show Mama's Family starring Ms. Lawrence ran for a few years on its own following the end to the Carol Burnett Show.

In this particular sketch Tim Conway steal the show by telling a tale involving an elephant and some pretty funny imagery as you try to visualize what he is describing. You will notice Carol Burnett trying to show Mama/Vicky Lawrence a business card, but she can never regain her composure long enough to do so.

For eleven season these veterans of comedy entertainment kept audiences in stitches all across the USA. Their ensemble cast worked flawlessly even with guests who only appeared in limited shows. However, on this particular occasion, Mr. Tim Conway got the biggest laugh on his fellow cast mates.

I have seen specials about the interaction between the cast members where they talk about friendly wagers on tryng to make the others lose their composure and crack up. Apparently it was a type of contest to see who had the most moxie in resisting the human urge to laugh. It seems that Carol, Vicki and Tim were considered to be the best at this, at least until this sketch aired during the final season.

It is not very long into this video that we see Carol Burnett rest her head on her hand to allow her to try to regain her control over her expression. When Conway says there was a rumor that the dwarf and elephant were lovers" everyone breaks down.Vicky Lawrence perhaps does the best job, lowering her gaze to the floor to focus on who knows what to help her attempt. For Dick Van Dyke it is a lost cause, as he struggles throughout to recover.

In the second half of the video Conway starts on another tale and you have to wonder if Burnett has heard it before, because she immediately rests her hand on her hand again to regain her control. By this time even Conway is struggling to maintain a straight face and eventually has to try to cover his laughter.

This continues a bit longer, with Tim Conway delivering more funny lines uintil near the end where Vicki Lawrence steals the show. I won't describe this because it would ruin the experience for you.

The legacy of the Carol Burnett show can be found in many places, but certainly television is the one we will all identify with the most. This show was aired druing the time when variety shows were all the rage. Ed Sullivan's show was so poular that headline acts such as Elvis and the Beatles appeared to massive audiences gathered around televisions all over the country.

While we do not have the same kind of shows these days the comedy component will be traced back to those sketches like the one above that influenced some of the comedians, actors and actresses we love to watch today. Take Michael Richards for example, the actor who portrayed Cosmo Kramer on the hit situation comedy Seinfeld during its multi-year top Nielsen Rated show stint. He was funny because of his physical comedy like Dick Van Dyke.

Jason Richards, who played Geroge Costanza, probably saw things in the Carol Burnett show and their comedy bits that helped influence his ability to make Geroge so hilariously funny. Sometimes until you see something portrayed like the video above, you do not realize just how funny it can be. I am sure other castmates have adopted the Carol Burnett show cast's effort to crack each other up as well.
