God is unconditional Love - always!

Few minutes ago, I was searching for some inspirational questions from Hubers and found that one: Will the God punish me if I live with my boyfriend before the marriage? It reminded me immediately on my young age...so, dear shopper 2, please read my article.
I was raised up us Roman Catholic, full of fears of God, waiting for punishment because of my so called sins. When I started dating and having sexual relationships, I was sure that I am on the good way to hell, and I was destroying myself because of strong, deep guilt. Actually at that time I WAS LIVING IN HELL already, my fears and guilt created it.
But, the fact was/is: majority of people were (and still are) "sinners", sexual energy is the strongest force among people, that is our genetic heritage, our passion, our inspiration, one of our ways to express love,does that mean that God will punish you for something what move us on? Impossible.
I spend many years of my life while searching for truth, about God, about sins, about myself, about humans behaviour. I have learned psychology, biology, spirituality, prayed, meditated,contemplated, I dared to asked questions directly to the God, I knew God can hear me. And is willing to answer. God is always answering on our questions, anyway.
God is unconditional Love
God is Ocean of Love, Ocean of Compassion for everybody. God is so full of pure Love, that something as punishment just cannot exist in God`s mind. We are God`s loving children, and God knows that children needs to learn from their life-experience what life and truth really are. God is aware, that we have to do mistakes sometimes, in order to learn lessons in school of life, God loves us with endlessness Love...and NEVER, NEVER punish!!! God always support us, and give us opportunity for spiritual evolution. We are God`s loving dreams, and consisted of the same substance as our Creator - we are also pure love, and we should learn how to overcome our fears.
My religion taught me many lies about God, as well as some truths. God did not create religion - people do that, because they want to describe the Creator of Universe on the way which is understandable for them. Religions and their dogmas are created by human mind only, not by Divine being.
I know now that God gives us freedom of choice and we can always choose. It is easier to choose, if you are free of fears, if you are brave and have open hearth. When you are full of love, you are connected with God, so you know then, what is the right choice for you.
There is no guilt, no mistake in God`s eyes. Eternal Love just cannot punish us for listening our hearths and using common sense in making important life - decisions. Everyone of us has right to love and express this love, live that love.
It is very wise to try to live with your boyfriend before the marriage...and see if you can be together, or just stay friends. Friendship is love as well. You will see your possible future, only if you give it a try. But...do not do it if you are afraid of anything, do not rush if you are not sure that you really want it, from all your heart and soul. If you are ready, expect reward from God for your brave and wise decision. If you do not feel ready, God will be happy as well.
You are woman, decision is YOURS. God is on your side, and loves you tenderly till the end of time, never forget that.

In this endless, eternal universe, everything is perfect, everything is in order, everything is creativity and miracle. No mistake can exist, no sins, no punishment. We can create heaven in our lives, if we decide to live in love for all, if we are free of fears. We have right to choose, we have right to change our minds. We have right to be free, because God is Freedom. Always. As well as forgiveness. We are all surrounded with God`s Love and Wisdom... all the time.
We just need to open our mind to this eternal Truth...and dare to live it.

By my knowledge, unconditional love would not be unconditional love, if would say:" you sin, you die".( this is pressure, and conditioning no love). God cannot teach us with fear, this would not be teaching. OK, if we do hurt any other living creature, something else hurts us, just like lesson to learn. It is not punishment, it is just lesson. If we treat others with love and respect, we would receive love and respect.
I understand deeply your comment, because I was afraid of God`s revenge very long. One day suddenly I understood that I am the one who creates that suffering to myself, in the name of God. And stopped with that, little by little.
Since I believe God is my best friend, I became better person, because I believe in God`s help, love and compassion and no punishment. And I give to the others help, love and compassion.
I also learned, by analysing other people?s reactions, that God in our lives has exactly that type of rules WE IMAGINE. If we are afraid of God, we create punishment and revenge because we think we deserve that. If we are brave and love God (and the other living beings), God always gives us support, more courage and more love.
God is UNCONDITIONAL LOVE; when we love without being afraid, we start to live in personal paradise (where there is no hurting the others, only understanding and compassion).

I believe that God loves unconditionally, but I don't believe it's a pampering love, but instead a perfecting love. God wants to make us perfect like Christ, but if we make bad decisions, there will still be consequences to pay, and God will not withhold those consequences because He does love us. Kind of like when parents love their children unconditionally, but will not stand in the way of difficult and trying times because their children need to learn, and grow, and be able to make good choices.
I do agree that we make our choices, that we can be free, and that God's love is around us at all times.
Also, there are those out there who will continue to cause hurt even if treated with love and respect, however, God is not willing that any should perish.

Yes, God? love is not always pampering, is perfecting as well. And yes, we need to live with consequences of our desicions, but improvement is always possible. We learn through our desicions, "good" or "wrong" ones.
When someone is too rotten and too evil, such person really destroy himself at the end... but just the physical body. Soul is immortal, and always connected with Divine...Soul is deeply connected with God, in the essence of soul is pure love of Creator. Soul /conscioussness can always develop, in this life, or after it.

Tatjana, you don't believe that a person could choose to be disconnected to God?
Yes I do believe, that person can choose to be disconnected to God...in fact, a lot of people DO LIVE on that way. The proofs are so many wars, hate and violence, intolerance to the others.. even religious intolerance to the beliefs of others. People live on that way because they are disconnected to love, disconnected to their souls, their hearts are closed.
But whenever any of them start to re-connect with love and Divine, conscioussness gradually changes. I have seen so many examples.
Some people cannot attain this change till the end of this life...but process of learning and changing never stops, in this case, re-connection with love gradualy occurs in "life-after-life". Since I was born, I brought in this life knowledge of soul immortality, and thanks to God, this knowledge helped me to survive my own life-path.
The magnificent power of God is love which always help to any soul to progress and change in this life, or after it. Jesus said "Kingdom of God is within you" (in human heart and soul), God would never destroy his own Kingdom...Physical bodies die, our souls never.
Sometimes is neural system of person completely destroyed because of many traumas, so that person sees and feels only negativity, fears and hate. It is illness, and humanity as a whole needs to find the ways how to heal such people. This is our duty...our lesson to learn, in order to create decent lives for all on this gorgeous planet.
We're different, but alike. I think by that I mean, we believe in very similar things, but in different ways, if that makes sense.
I know a lot of people don't believe that healing goes on in the way that you describe. I believe God can heal and change hearts, but I also believe the same can be done through us. Definitely something I think about occasionally.

I found this quite insightful. Being an atheist I am often turned off by the dogma and scripture that can only stunt true spiritual growth. This was a refreshing and welcome rehashing of the God concept. Not the first time I've encountered such an outlook but a good read nonetheless.
Though I'm curious, could not "God" be replaced with "Nature" or "Universe" or do you consider God to be a conscious, omnipotent creator being?

I do agree with you, I am using various expressions for the same thing: Nature, universal energy, conscious energy of Universe, universal love, God, Goddes, ... whatever. In this Hub I used expression "God", because I answered on specific request.
Conscious, omnipotent energy of the universe is just everything and everyone, whatever name we use for it... We can talk about the same thing on many ways: on scientific one, on religious one, on non-religious one...and yes, forces of the nature (universe) are these ones who can help us the most to achieve higher level of spirituality...because they created us and we are conscious creators as a part of them.

You are right there are many misconceptions taught in religion. This is why it is so important to know what the Word says for yourself!
I Corinthians 13 describes GOD'S LOVE very well. It says Love suffers long and is kind,does not envy, does not parade itself, is not puffed up, does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil, does not rejoice in inquity, but rejoices in TRUTH, bears all things, believes all thigs, hopes all thingss, endures all things.

I was raised a Catholic girl too. I thought I might make it to purgatory and all the saints would pray for me. Anyway I can relate with your hub. Nice Job. For me the closer I walk with Christ the more I want to do for him. He gives us commands for our benefit, not his. We are all born sinners and Jesus went to the cross to take away our sin. No one would make it to heaven if it was based on our 'works' no one. We all fall short of the Glory. Christ can turn all things for good for those that love him. That is unconditional love. Your pictures are a very nice touch. I will return.

What about, "The wages of sin is death."? Yes God loves you and will not punish us as we understand the word but,, God cannot defy his own rules. He says, "you sin, you die." This means spiritually of course. You are free to make your own decisions and you can choose to sin. It is your choice the same as you can choose to break the laws of the land knowing that, if you get caught, you will be punished.
