This cookie treat recipe is great to make with kids. An adult will need to melt the ingridents in a sauce pan but children can work together to crush and mix the cereal after the mix has been poured over it.

In a large sauce pan melt butter, peanut butter, and Karo syrup under medium heat. Fold in marshmallows until melted to a creamy consistency.
Pour over Golden Grahams in a large bowl and mix well. A wooden spoon works best to crush down some of the cereal mix. Once everything is sufficiently covered and mixed, pour into a greased rectangular cake pan size baking stone or glass cake/casserole dish.
Leave to sit and cool for about 10 to 15 minutes. Take a piece of saran wrap with a very light amount of butter on it and use it to push the cereal bar mix into the dish so that it is flat and compact.
In a microwave safe bowl, put chocolate chips in and melt in microwave for about 1 to 2 minutes stopping every 30 seconds to stir. Continue until chocolate is completely melted. Pour chocolate over cereal bar mix and allow to cool in fridge. Cookie bars are ready when chocolate has hardened completely.
