Great Movies that NEVER got the hype- Jonny Depp's Arizona Dream
Another great one by Johnny Depp.
A great part.
Arizona Dream
There are some independent films that stand out from the rest. Why? Because they never should have been independent or overlooked by the "big boys". Arizona Dreams is one of those films! I loved this because it was filled with drama, comedy, suspense, and it was very unique! The creativity and the cast make this a modern day classic.
With a cast like JOHNNY DEPP, FAYE DUNAWAY, JERRY LEWIS, LILI TAYLOR, and VINCE GALLO, and a crazy plot, I have no idea how it could have flown under the radar screen the way it did. What was just as amazing was the fact that Lili Taylor stole the show and almost upstaged these 3 living legends. Vince Gallo was great as well, as a crazy aspiring actor, who has a strange quirk. Whenever his character gets stressed or threatened, he gets "mentally transported" into a random movie, and becomes one of the characters. The first time this happens is when he gets hit in the head by a ceiling fan and becomes the cowardly lion, from The Wizard of Oz . The next scene after that is even funnier!
The movie in a nutshell
The beginning is a little deep, but if you relax and get absorbed into it, you will probably enjoy this as much as I did. This wacky, dramatic comedy has some outrageously funny parts that you won't forget, but the moving parts, are so moving that they make you stop and think about your relationships, the direction of your life. You may ponder or rethink the person you want to be and what your dreams are. Kick back and enjoy the drama, hilarity, and unreal dialog in this must see theatrical masterpiece! I give it 4 1/2 out of 5 cuckoos.
- What are Johnny Depp's best and worst movies?
Johnny Depp is a Hollywood favorite and on the eve of Dark Shaddows, I thought this would be fun. - The 10 biggest Screw Balls and Nut Jobs of the 20th Century
No serial killers, just goofy celebs! Also, I left some out because of the fact that their ending on our planet was so tragic. I also left out people like Weird Al, Garret Morris, and Jim Carey...
