Hammersdoen (Heavy Metal) A Review

The group formed in August 2007 as a bunch of guys who enjoyed sitting around jamming, drinking a few beers and barbecuing. The group consisted of Karl (vocals),Eric (guitar),Tom (drummer), and Shay (guitar). Leaving the band a couple of times and one time a few hours before the show, Shay was permanently replaced with Kevin (guitar) in the latter part of 2007. Hammersdoen began to pick up speed when they succumbed to yet another blow, the bass guitarist quit in the early part of the New Year. Determined to succeed Hammersdoen (pronounced hammersdown) began to audition potential replacements. After months of auditioning bass guitarist's they finally hit the jackpot when Matt joined the band in 2008.
Keeping the music heavy Hammersdoen decided to play a favored mix of popular metal bands with a small combination of less popular bands such as Grim Reaper adding to the selection of songs and music during there performance.
One of their most memorable experiences while playing at the Drunken Lass in Prescott, Arizona was when a fight broke out in the middle of the bar while they were playing 'Can't Rock n'Roll', by Twisted Sister. Hoping to one day play at FeelGoods which is owned by Vince Neil of Motley Crue. Hammersdoen will keep on rockin' until there dream becomes a reality.
Getting the opportunity to listen to Hammersdoen a couple of weekends ago the band members played with enthusiasm and clarity. Vocals were clear, sound was on key they jammed without skipping a beat! Many followers of the band were in attendance and the crowd grew larger. The audience interacted with the band and people were playing air guitar as they turned up the heat while playing Judas Priest. The band members hit the floor with their electrifying energy, bringing the audience to there feet.
With the direction they are going one could see them playing Vegas very soon. For more information about Hammersdoen you can visit them on the web or if you would like to be placed on the mailing list please e-mail them at mailinglist@hammersdoen.com
