Artist Mindy Sand Creates Delightful Hand Painted Glassware

When it comes to hand painted glassware, artist Mindy Sand is an expert.  Her wine glasses, bowls, plates and other hand painted glassware are full of bright colors, excitement, and joy.  Each style is available singly or in sets, and you can also get matching bowls, plates, and speciality pieces.

Mindy creates her hand painted glasses with accuracy and care.  She uses a special glass infused paint that she paints on, then fires into the glassware so that it is permanently affixed.  This means that all of her work can be washed either by hand or in a dishwasher, making the beautiful hand painted glass convenient and easy to use.

Mindy uses her glassware in her own home and says that she has some pieces that are over 6 years old and still in excellent condition even after numerous washings in the dishwasher.

You might think that with all of these features that Mindy Sand's work would be expensive to own, but individual wine glasses only cost $20.00 each, and the price goes down if you buy them in sets.

Mindy primarily uses a color palette of a muted royal blue, dark teal, yellow, orange, red, forest green, although she sometimes adds in other colors as details. My personal favorite pattern is the pattern at the top of this article which she calls her fiesta or party pattern. But all of her work stands out.

Each piece is individually signed by Mindy.

Vibrant Glassware

The colors in Mindy Sand's glassware are vibrant, and can be display pieces as well as practical dishware. There is just something about colorful glass that is so alive and beautiful.

I love the hand painted glasses. I have some pretty green long stem glasses that are begging to be painted.
