Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day
God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers . ~Jewish Proverb
On this Mother’s Day, we wish to honor all of our moms, who strive endlessly to raise their children with a sense of worth, direction and purpose. It is not always such an easy task, as I’m sure my mother would attest to. There is not a job out there that is more hands-on or more fulfilling than being a mom. Motherhood is, at times, both frustrating and thankless. But it is also the most rewarding job around. Moms are our first love. And you know what they say; you never get over your first love.
Mothers set the example for the whole family to follow, no matter what the circumstances. We don’t always agree with mom, that much is certain; perhaps to our way of thinking, mom could be downright mean. But instinctively, we all knew that no matter what mom did or said, she had our best interests in mind. It may have taken some of us longer than others to figure that out, but eventually, we all finally understand. Moms have a capacity to love that knows no bounds, recognizes no limitations and can encompass the world. If only the world could love like mom.
I received a copy of the following letter on the first Mother’s Day after my mother passed away. Needless to say, I saw my mother in this letter, bringing both a tear and a smile to my face. After sharing it with my children, they too, saw their mom in these words. I happily share it with you today. I do not know the name of the author and have seen it posted on the elsewhere on the internet, always without an author's name. I wish to thank who ever it was, most sincerely.
So, this is for all you Moms.
We Love You.
