I don't like slasher films with all the blood and guts. Give me a good ghost story anytime. If you like a good old fashioned Ghost story then Haunting in Connecticut is a must see for you. This movie had me jumping and screaming through the entire movie. Perhaps it is because it was based on a true story. I haven't seen a movie in years that scared me as much as this one. I remember years ago when I was a kid and I first watched Amityville Horror. What made it scary was that you knew it could happen to you!
Haunting in Connecticut is a 2009 horror film based on a true story about a family who moves into a house that at one time was a funeral parlor. The oldest son, Matt uses the basement as his bedroom. He soon discovers the mortuary room and soon after starts seeing ghosts. This movie will keep you at the edge of your seat. Be ready to expect the unexpected.

I do like a good ghost story. When they claim to be based on actually events, that is even better. I have yet to see this, but it is on my list of movies to watch.
