Historical Romance Family Saga Stories (Part 1)

In my spare time I love nothing more than to curl up on the sofa with a good book. A good book can mean several things depending on my mood but more often than not it will be an easy going historical romance novel that I can dip in and out of without taxing my brain too much.

Apart from being swept up in the historical era of the story it is nice to imagine the etiquette and romantic gestures of the days gone by. Though I have read several stand alone novels of this genre (and by that I mean they don't tie in with other books by the author in question) I am always drawn more to the stories that expand to include other family members.

Reading a set of stories that tie together through family ties or friendship links always seem to stick in my mind more. I find as I read through a series of books I often look forward to a later book to fill in the blanks of a certain family member that has been mentioned in earlier stories.

This was most noticeable when I began reading my first novel by Julia Quinn which happened to be one of her Bridgerton Novels following the stories of 8 siblings in their quests for marital bliss. As the siblings are named with Alphabetical christian names you would assume starting at Anthony's story however the historical era these novels are set in showed preference to female siblings marrying earlier in years than their brothers so we begin with the oldest female which is Daphne.

 Following the success of this series Julia Quinn had many requests for stories updating them on the Bridgerton siblings and their children. She decided to write eight epilogues to continue the stories and update her readers.

Julia has said that once all eight stories are finished that these will be published as one book, meanwhile for those that cannot wait she has released them one by one as ebooks.
