Homemade Body Splashes

Updated on August 25, 2021

Homemade Body Splashes made easy at home.

Body splashes can stimulate, tone, uplift or relax the
body depending on the mixtures that you use. They are
invigorating sprays or slap-on water based lotions with
a lot of different uses.

Body splashes are fun and really easy to make. Body
splashes smell great and they can make nice gifts for
friends and family on special holidays or for just when
ever you want to share something nice with the ones you
love for no special reason other than because you care
about them.

When you are mixing and storing these body splashes you
can use old spray bottles from products you have brought
and used they will work great or if you want to buy new
bottles you can pick them up at all most any drug store
or pharmacy for very little cost.

They come in many different colors so if you want to be
creative you can buy bottles of specific colors to use for
certain mixtures not to mention they will look more
professional if you are giving them as gifts.

Body splashes have been used for thousands of years for
many different reasons because they have wonderful healing
properties in them. They feel great to the body because
when you spray a little on it is very refreshing. I
personally use them all the time and I love them my husband
loves the way they smell on me too.

Why should you spend hundreds of dollars a year or more on
body splashes when you can make them at home in your own
kitchen? Have you ever thought about making them at home
in your own kitchen? Maybe you have but you just don't
know where to start or maybe you haven't but after reading
this you will have the basic knowledge to get right to work
on creating your own body splash mixtures.

Most guys seem to love them because they do a wonderful job
and they don't leave and oily residue on the skin. Did you
know that in the past body splashes were known by the name
or phrase ‘les vinaigres de toilette'?

They were made by a simple principle and that's what I have
included here. These are really easy to make but if you
have sensitive skin or dehydrated skin you should not use
Vodka for a base.

A good base for your body splash mixtures is 2 cups of
spring or distilled (bottled store brought) water with 4 oz.
of cider vinegar or white wine then you should add 25 to 35
drops of the essential oils of your choice. You should at
3 to 6 drops of each essential oil to the base mixtures.

Some good bases to start with are as follows:

Cider Vinegar
Spring or Distilled Water (bottled store brought)
Vodka (high proof)
White Wine

Don't be afraid to try different mixtures because you can
never tell what mixtures you will like until you try them.
You always test a small area of skin with a little bit of
the mixtures first before you use a large amount on your
body just to make sure that you don't experience some kind
of an allergic reaction to the mixture.

Some useful essential oils that you can use in your body
splash mixtures are as follows:

Basil Oil
Benzoin Oil
Black Pepper Oil
Eucalyptus Oil
Geranium Oil
Grapefruit Oil
Lavender Oil
Lemon Oil
Lemongrass Oil
Mandarin Oil
Nutmeg Oil
Orange Oil
Patchouli Oil
Peppermint Oil
