There are few truly dispersable base oils but one that is, is a treated castor oil known as Red Turkey Oil. You can add essential oil or essential oils of your choice directly into the bottle.
You do this just like you would with any other base oil. You should use 5 drops of essential oil to every 1 teaspoon of base oil. Then use 1 teaspoon of your mixture to your bath.
You can also use an alternative method by first adding 4-6 drops of essential oil to your bath then add 1 teaspoon of Red Turkey Oil to the bath. Get into the bath and enjoy! It would be wise to mix the oils up first and test a small area of skin with a little bit of the mixture before you put your entire body into a tub full of it just to make sure that you don't experience some kind of an allergic reaction to the mixture.
When you are mixing and storing your own bath oils you should store them in a glass bottle or jar that has a screw on lid that is airtight. The bottle or jar should also be dark in color like amber or cobalt because the dark color will help to keep the light out which will also help to keep the mixture fresh.
Some other base oils that you can use are as follows:
- Almond Oil
- Apricot Oil
- Avacado Oil
- Grape Seed Oil
But these base oils are non-dispersable and they will float on the water then cling to your body when you get out that's why the Red Turkey oil will work better because it will not do this.
