Best Hotels in Key Largo
62Key Largo is the very first island of the Florida Keys Island chain. It runs 22 miles in length from mile marker 90 to 112. Hotels in Key Largo are plentiful as are smaller lodges and inns. Below are pictures of the best hotels I know and have frequented. These are all located in the upper keys and are close to shopping and plenty of restaurants.
They each have their own websites if you would like more information.
Locals here like to refer to Key Largo as the diving capital of the world. We certainly have enough coral reefs and wrecks to keep diver and snorkeler enthusiasts busy. If this activity appeals to you there are plenty of dive shops in Key Largo that offer classes and can certify you. Fishing is also very popular. Sportsfishing or backcountry you can find a captain available. Charter boats are as common as homes around these parts. Swimming with the dolphins offers an unforgettable experience especially for kids but adults enjoy it as well. You might like to spend the day at John Pennekamp State Park where you can swim, rent a boat, canoe, or just enjoy nature in a glassbottom boat ride.
Key West is pretty awesome too. When you are done here in Key Largo take a ride an hour an a half south and visit Key West. Its worth the trip.

This was great, another one of my virtual tours down, and a million more to go. I am taking virtual tours around the world vicariously through hub pages, so you've aided me in my quest. Thanks, Bail up!

too funny ! You remind me of my mom a bit. She watches the travel channel and whenever I phone her she'll tell me what country she's in.
I really liked your pics as I can find at least one aspect about each hotel that I find appealing and inviting. Looking at these pics, I can't help but to recall the movie "Key Largo" with Bogart and Bacall (not to mention the 80's song too). Someday I would certainly like to visit! Thank you, BU.

That was a great movie. It was actually shot on location here at at the Caribbean Club. If you ever make it this far South you might want to visit it. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for the hotel recommendations. I'll have to keep these in mind for the next time I visit.
