How Alcoholism Can Effect Your Life
Everything we do in life has an effect on either ourselves or others we know and love. The effects are not often seen by many of those that are addicted to alcohol.
How alcoholism can effect your life depends on how you treat it and abuse it. The alcoholic sometimes never sees the effects of alcoholism on their own self, never less the effects it has on others. They are basically blinded to the outside world and live each day with their best friend, alcohol.
They tend to live each day in their own little world not seeing what harm they are doing to themselves and all those that love and care about them.
Speaking from my own experiences, I can honestly say I really didn't care about what other people said about my addiction to alcohol and furthermore didn't even care about myself.
When the alcoholic gets so involved in their addiction they begin to let themselves go physically and sooner or later the mental part of their body gets taken over by their alcohol demons. Now, your demons are running the alcoholics life and ruining everyone else in the path of the alcoholics self destructed life.
Love in the Eyes of Others That the Alcoholic Can Not See
Never Realizing What You Are Doing
Many people that are addicted to alcohol never realize what they are doing to themselves and others. They wonder why people begin to get distant from them and no longer want to be in the company of the alcoholic. I wondered the same, and started to think that these people were rude, and just nasty people, but all the long, I was the rude and distant person and never even realized it.
The alcoholic says to themselves, why are people treating them as they do, because I am not hurting or bothering anyone, so they think.
The people such as you wife, husband, children all love you and cry inside because the alcoholic just doesn't get it that they are destroying their own life and all those that love and care for them.
Many times it takes a huge wake up call for the alcoholic to change his/her life and sometimes this wake up call may be too late.
Don't let an addiction stand in your way of enjoying your life and family. Everyone that is addicted to alcohol has the inner strength to surrender to their addiction. The only thing needed to succeed in doing so is the desire and determination to make that change in your life.
I never thought I could get clean and sober, but with changing my outlook on life and looking real hard at the life I lead and think positive I made a new life not only for myself, but all that stood by my side, through thick and thin and all the ups and downs that my life had.
Now sober, my life is on the up and up and will never head downward towards the self destruction of alcoholism.
You too can make this change if you really want it bad enough. Sooner or later your addiction to alcohol will catch up with your and you will finally see what it looks like to hit rock bottom in your life, and then when that happens you may just turn yourself around and get clean and sober.
One thing I may suggest is not to let your life hit rock bottom and do something about your addiction before it is too late.
You will be so proud of yourself and others will admire your courage and determination to finally surrender to an addiction that will indeed kill you in the end.
So,, let those alcohol demons that have been running and trying to ruin your life know who is boss and get that positive attitude going to surrender to your addiction to alcohol.
I did it and so can you. You just need the willingness and desire to become clean and sober and that is all there is to it.
