How To Count In Russian
Learning a second language or a foreign language is not that difficult. If you want to learn a foreign language you must have a true love for that language, people & culture rest is easy. To learn just the conversational language you need to practice with the native speakers.
I love people, languages is foreign cultures so therefore I speak few languages. Some I learned from my friends others in the school. I find Russian language very sweet when spoken for example, Privet means hello, Kakdila means how are you and Kharosho means fine and sounds very sweet when spoken. You might be curious now but just take your time one step at a time. Are you ready start from your first lesson in the next paragraph good luck.
First of all in order to learn Russian you have to know how to make a white Russian & learn to drink it too. Just kidding but it doesn’t hurt to get more information or even try it too. Here is the link.
How to make a White Russian! http://www.tequila-stuff.com/drinks/white-russian/how-to-make-a-white-russian.html
It’s not difficult to count upto 10 in any language but I believe you will need to learn a little bit more than counting just upto 10. Before I start counting upto 10 I would like to give you some background about Russian language.
Russian is one of the largest Slavic languages, spoken by about 170 million people as a first language and another 100 million as a second language. Russian is one of the six official languages used by the United Nations.
Russian is spoken in 30 countries other than Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, India, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova & USA.
I will provide links for you to learn Russian for free, how to count, read …and more.
Are you ready here you go. I will start with counting & later I will take you to a link where you will be able to learn more than just counting upto 10.
If you just want to learn upto 10 then here is the link.

thanks Mr Nice this is very good..
I am not interested in counting to ten or a million in Russian.
But the effort you have been to in expounding all these numbers and the white Russian then finaly the map. Well that is beyond the call of duty.
Concratualations.
Hi SunSeven: Finally you did leave comments but you didn't say nothing about the counting in Russian. Do you think I described counting in Russian easy to understand. Did you learn or even go through the counting. Finally why you wanted to learn only how to count in Russian ? I was busy so I left it incomplete & will continue with some basic conversations in Russian. So keep checking.
Hi Draz: Thanks & I am glad you liked counting in Russian. Keep checking I will continue with basic conversation in Russian.
Hi MrMarmalade: Thanks for the great comments you left & you don't have to learn how to count in Russian. I made this hubpage on SunSeven's request. Since you are not interested in Russian I recommend you check out my free goodies.
Flash cards are a good way to learn elements of many subjects and I see you have linked to some freeware offering just that. The fact that audio is linked as well is very good. I will use this link for practice. I may try Spanish in this manner, because that is one language I simply cannot grasp, so far. Thanks very much for the links! What other lanaguages do you speak?
You are very welcome Patty. At that same website you can download several languages. Here is the link for spanish.

I can read write & speak spanish, also speak French, learned Japanese at NYU but lost it never practiced, some Korean, Chinese, Russian.
Great hub. Counting is the first thing i like to learn when learning a new language. I dont quiet know why. I guess its the easiest thing to associate. Great hub who knows maybe I will be counting I Russian soon.
Counting in Japanese was interesting for me but I lost every thing I learned because of no practice.
On Croatian we count: Jedan, dva, tri, ?etiri, pet, šest, sedam, osam, devet, deset...jedanaest, dvanaest, trinaest, ?etrnaest, petnaest, šestnaest....I think we might understand each other....don`t we?
Love & Light
odin-jedan, pyat'-pet, sem'-sedam, vosem'-osam... pretty close :)
And yes, of course we can - to some extent. I had a Croatian girlfriend, and man it was hard :D
Poor Misha, now I know why you become the Saint!!! While having Croatian gf!!! Ha, ha, ha, ha.... We are not easy to handle, not at all. Consider that as practising of equality he, he....
About counting:numbers sound almost the same, Misha, believe me...
Thanks for browsing my hub or hubs & for the lovely comments. In Croatian I only know how to say how are you Kako si or Kak dila in Russian. Saint Misha is an expert in Russian language because that is his language. I don't see much difference in Kako si or Kak dila & it's same for the numbers too. Basically both languages originated from Slavic language. Here is some detail.
Slavic languages are divided into three groups: eastern (Russian, White-Russian, Ukrainian, Ruthenian), western (Polish, Kashubian, Lower Sorabian, Upper Sorabian, Czech, Slovak) and southern (Slovenian, Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian, Macedonian, Bulgarian, Church Slavonic.
Merry Christmas & a happy new year to both of you. :)
OK, in Zagreb (capital of Croatia) and sorrunding, we say Kak si and Kaj delaš.. Anyhow I never had problems while speaking with Russians...We did understand each other pretty well (not perfect, but a little of telepathy helped) Happy Holidays to you guys as well
Bok! Tatjana, Also Kako ste? Telepathy is hard to put into practice but intuition can always help. It all depends if some one wants to understand just read my lips. :)
Happy holidays to you & every one dear & near one's to you.
Doviðenja! Mir Ljubav
My sister would like this one because she is interested in independently studying French and Russian.
SweetiePie, Thanks for your comments. I guess it will be helpful for your sister.
I have always wanted to learn Russian and I enjoyed the drink list considering we do have a few summer parties, are you saying I look like Mila?? My Avatar is my Avatar my hubby has a massive one of me on the wall. You certainly have great taste. ((((Big Hugs))):)
I would say I look a little like Anna too, if only I made the megabucks , nursing compared to that , well I do get satisfaction. I enjoyed both of your articles. :):)
Hi AEvans!
Russian is very sweet language I love it myself. About drink I can't have Vodka, tried once with bad experience. Of course I have very sweet taste because I appreciate the nature.
Thanks again, no you look like Anna. She is very cute just like you. Well registered nurses are making good money too. I think satisfaction is better than megabucks.
Big Hugs for you too.......
Aaaaawwww, I am glad that I am cute at least I know you were thinking about me. Wait until I tell my husband, as he has said that too, but I never believed it. I guess until someone points it out , someone you don't know then you realize that it is the truth. Yes we do make good money, but nothing close to the two above..LOLOLOL When I hit the lottery I will defintely let you know, but I bet I will still nurse. :)
Hi AEvans!
If you were not cute then why I compared you with Anna-kournikova. As far as your husband is concerned I think he saw some thing in you that's why he married you. Lucky man & luck you too.
You know I am russian right oh yes I could have taught them a lot on this page.May I say the counting is spot on, the Russian language has a lot of rolllllllllllllling of the tongue.Nice pic of Anna too lol. Vse ljudi roždajutsya svobodnymi i ravnymi v svoem dostoinstve i pravakh. Oni nadeleny razumom i sovest'ju i dolžny postupat' v otnošenii drug druga v dukhe bratstva.
Hi blonde! No I didn't know you are Russian, I only know you are a cute blonde. Well, now I know for sure & I believe you can teach more. If you have some ideas I can add. Thanks for the recognizing the Russian counting. Very nice Russian proverb. I believe that's what it means in English.
~ All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood. ~
