Growing blueberry bushes in your garden is fairly easy. A key factor is acidic soil. Blueberries need acidic soil with pH value ranging from 4.5 to 5.5. They also require moisture retentive, well-drained, sandy soil. Adding organic matter (such as peat moss and composted leaves), and sulfur will acidify the soil.

The best time to plant blueberries is in spring after all danger of frost passes. They grow best in full sun.

Once these basic requirements are fulfilled, blueberry bushes will require minimal care. They will produce delicious fruits for decades to come.
