How To Look 10 Years Younger
69
In her recently released book How Not to Look old: Fast and Effortless Ways to Look 10 Years Younger, 10 Pounds Lighter and 10 Times Better, veteran Today Show style expert and former Glamour beauty director Charla Krupp shares her vast knowledge and advice on how to stay clear of anything old ladyish and keep your entire look fresh and up-to-date.
Geared toward the 40+-aged woman, Krupp is clear on the specifics of style and is sympathetic to and understanding of the downfalls of aging as only one with experience could be.
This book is a super tutorial for those of us who have been busy these last few years (or ten) and forgot to renew our subscriptions to all the best fashion and style magazines. Or maybe some of us just stopped caring. Either way, Krupp can get you back on track with her simple to follow instructions for just about everything related to style.

She provides detailed instructions on how to properly use makeup to look look younger, the right hairstyle for your face and age, hair color advice and even clothes and shoes. This comprehensive book is packed with full color instructions, and before and after photos. My personal favorite is the section on how to pick the perfect glasses to compliment your face.
She is not suggesting that we all go out and try to look twenty and dress in super trendy styles. In fact, she clearly advises against that and encourages women to dress appropriate for their age with the proper attention to keeping an updated look.
If looking great has become a chore that you don’t feel like dealing with, this book will motivate you with its quick and easy ways to change your appearance for a dramatic difference. She also reviews all of the best products from wrinkle diminishing creams to the perfect bra, all of which she has personally tested.
Admittedly, we live in a youth obsessed culture. The object of this book is not necessarily to look like a teenager again, but to look and feel your absolute best, regardless of age.

Lol! Jokingly serious! I agree with you on many points! Thanks for reading and adding your list. :)
THought I'd left a comment here weeks ago! Great to see that there are authors trying to pay attention to 'older women' since the magazines and such pretty much ignore us. Except perhaps for the annual make-overs on Oprah show. But to privateye2500...how could smoking actually make anyone happy? Don't all smokers secretly somewhere know what a horrid deadly, stinking, wrinkling, expensive, poisonous habit they have? That could make someone happy?
Hi Desert Blondie, I like that this book addresses women that are "not sooo young" without encouraging plastic surgery or dressing like you're 19! The author has been through it all and tested out all the products too. She understands what drives us and figures out some cool ways to enhance our appearance. Thanks for commenting. :)
I might have to check this out. It has become a chore and I try to avoid it if you want to know the truth (which doesn't help the ones who have to look at me :)).
hahaha..!! Good info
Thank you both. :) This book is worth reading if you need some help with maintaining a youthful look - even if you don't have a whole lot of time and money to put into it!
Nice hub. Thank you for sharing, I am an early senior so I read it all though I feel I have earned my years and wouldn't want to do 20 again. I too am an author. Please visit my hubs when you have a chance, my link for my book is there too. I would love your feedback.
I rely on family genes, lots of water, a good nights sleep and cocoa butter plus a little help from the man upstairs. It keeps me 20 years younger.
Chloe Faith - I understand what you mean about earning your years. I think the idea is to keep being your best you - and it is different for everyone. Thanks for reading!
Hi Paul - good genes definitely help! Sleep and water are essential too - but too many people (myself included) don't get enough of either. When life gets busy, it can be tough to take good care of yourself. It has to become a priority. Thanks for commenting!
