How To Make Toilet Cleaning Easier And Quicker
71When you are trying to clean you home, cleaning toilets ranks up there as most people's least favorite thing to do. In order to keep a clean toilet though you really need to keep at it and make it a priority on your home cleaning list. Leaving it alone will not only be offensive to your guests, it can down right get them sick and others in your family sick from the microscopic bacteria that build on the inside and outside.
It's not really a hard cleaning duty unless you have left it for weeks or more in between cleaning. At that point, the bowl can actually begin to have semi-permanent staining. Regularly cleaning a toilet is a relatively easy thing to do if you keep at it on a regular basis. You do not need an arsenal of toilet cleaning supplies to get and maintain a cleaner toilet.

How To Clean Toilet Ring Stains
Toilet rings are often associated with high levels of alkaline in the water. To get a cleaner toilet and remove and reduce this problem, turn off the water to the toilet and flush to remove any exsisting water. Soak a few paper towels into white vinegar and apply to the bowl. Leave for a few hours, remove the paper towels (do not flush) and then use the toilet brush to remove whatever still appears. This should dissolve the toilet rings and water spots already in the bowl. To maintain, once a month dump in 2 cups of white vinegar into the toilet. Leave for a few hours, use the toilet brush, then flush.
For hard to remove stains, use a pumice stone. A pumice stone should NOT be used on colored, plastic, or enamel toilets or toilet bowl parts. To use, completely soak the pumice stone and lightly rub it on the toilet bowl ring. Do not use force or it will scratch the bowl.

How To Maintain A Clean Toilet
For the outside of the toilet and the toilet seat, Clorox disinfecting wipes or germicidal wipes are awesome to wipe and go and feel confident that the surface is clean and the germs have been eliminated. Start with the toilet handle, then the surface of the toilet, then move to cleaning the toilet seat.
For the inside of the bowl, use a toilet bowel cleaner that has a neck so that you can reach the underside. start with the underside and allow it to cover the bowl. Leave it to sit for 5 minutes. Then, use your toilet brush and scrub the toilet paying attention to the underside of the bowl. Tap the brush against the toilet and set aside. Leave the cleaner to sit in the toilet for another 5 minutes, or as long as the packaging suggests. Then flush.
To maintain, use a toilet bowel cleaning tablet such as the Clorox Bowl Cleaner with Teflon to prevent rust and toilet rings from forming. Purchase only ones such as the Clorox tablets that contain biodegradable surfactants and are safe for not only your toilet and septic or sewer system, but that are do not make the bowl water dangerous for pets.
