How To Capture Video from Your Computer Screen

There are several programs to capture video from your monitor screen but they are not free. I am using Camstudio 2.1 which is freeware and but an excellent program. I am adding few programs please try and evaluate it yourself. If you would like to download web imbedded videos like the one from Youtube, Met café then there are several other software’s. I will be adding those to my hubpages very soon. Here are the details and links to download.

Camstudio 2.1

CamStudio is a freeware video screen capture program. You have complete control select a specific area of the screen or full screen. You can choose to record audio from the computer's speakers or from a microphone, a great way to dub your own voice or some other audio effects to the video. Very easy and simple to use for an average person. Best of all it's a freeware. Here is the link to download.

SCREEN2EXE

SCREEN2EXE can capture desktop activity. It will capture mouse movements, clicks and options to add audio comments from your microphone. Record the entire screen or select an area, configure the recording quality and also the frame rate. Captured video is highly compressed that can be sent by email.

AviScreen

AviScreen Classic can capture screen activities, save it as AVI video or Bitmap images. Capture specific area or full screen, or Windows object. This program is good for quick and easy recordings, however file size can be extremely large in size (2mb per second), unless you convert them to a different format or use DivX for video compression.

Most people seem to be recommending CamStudio. Thank you for the links and info.

Best Regards.

PS: I always try to comment on the answers to the requests I've made. But some times there is so much backlog on my mails, that I need to clear. Sorry for the delay.
