Free Plastic Surgery

Amazing as it might sound there are several ways to get plastic surgery for free.  While some methods are overly commercial and maybe even bizarre, there are others which are worth all your respect for the team of sponsors and volunteers who make free plastic surgery possible to restore the looks of women who had been abused or children who because of different reasons are disfigured.

The medical speciality of plastic surgery includes both: cosmetic surgery –done mainly to enhance beauty- and reconstructive surgery which is done to restore someone’s appearance back to normality.  There are many ways to have plastic surgery for free, depending on your particular case and needs you might want to explore some of the options below.

Myfreeimplants.com

Perhaps the most publicized site to get breast surgery for free is myfreeimplants.com and innovative site that brings together women who have a strong desire to increase their breast size and benefactors who wish to help these ladies finance their breast augmentation surgeries. Too altruistic? Not really. In exchange these benefactors get pictures from the women they are sponsoring. Interaction in the site involves the women chatting and posting pictures to gain sponsorship from their benefactors. Interaction in the site helps to gain points which eventually will pay for your surgery.

As a benefactor for myfreeimplants.com you have direct access to contact the many girls that are seeking help in achieving the physical appearance that they have long desired. You can choose to buy message credits in several denominations. When you use your credits to send messages to the ladies they earn credit towards their procedures. You can buy credits for as low as $1.20. Additionally, you can send direct donations and request personal custom videos from the ladies.

The Military

Did you know that personnel in all four branches of the military and members of their immediate families can get face-lifts, nose jobs, breast enlargements, liposuction, or any other kind of elective cosmetic alteration, at taxpayer expense?

While the military doesn't offer extreme makeovers, there is no limit to the amount of cosmetic surgeries that a soldier can have done. The commanding officer has to approve the time off for any soldier who is having surgery.

Read about the procedures and how you in the military can benefit from plastic surgery.

The National Health Service (NHS) in the UK

Hundreds of people have had cosmetic surgery for free thanks to the UK’s NHS. Figures from the NHS Information Centre show that in 2008, the NHS spent £5.7 million on giving 471 patients liposuction and giving over 1,600 patients nose jobs, tummy tucks and breast reductions.

Doctors have explained the situation saying there was a medical reason (from body dysmorphic disorder to HIV medication causing fat deposits to build up on the neck) for the cosmetic surgery in all of the cases.   The British surgeons have explained that the rules for having cosmetic surgery under the NHS are stringent and patients would not get surgery for purely cosmetic reasons.

Good job Anath...nice research and very informative. If I hadn't clicked on the links themselves I never would have know they were available. Now what can be done for balding men, think women would contribute at the same level? Of course if I'm a pirate like BadCo no one will ever see the top of my head. I'm going to get my bandana. :>)

Balding men are sexy you know Carson? I am thinking Bruce Willis and Sean Connery for example, they both look much better without hair than with it. As a bonus I have heard that the balding starts because of a "testosterone overcharge", which we all know what in means in terms of sexual power ;-)

Again,I managed to learn something by reading one of your hubs. The only thing I'd question about free surgery, is the quality of the results. Too often you can get a ton of shit for free, but you couldn't pay me to live with the results. I guess you just really need to do your research before hand.

Great Job.

That is right, bloodnlatex, it is very important to get well informed before undergoing surgery. I imagine that those places who offer free plastic surgery to abused women or disfigured children are safe and trust worthy.

Other places offering free plastic surgery for free, only for comercial reasons should be well studied before taking a decision.

Amazing information indeed. Those doctors who help disfigured children only on a volunteer basis are the real doctors that we all need, people concerned about other human beings and not just money.

I would hope that the surgons doing pro bono work for women and childern know what they are doing. Those people don't need anymore hardships in their lives than they already have.

By the way, where you get you pictures? I love them!

Just so you know, from a recent veteran, it's not easy to get the free cosmetic surgery within the military. Although it's possible, it's not likely. My husband is a surgery tech and assists the surgeons and in the second largest hospital in the Air Force, they only do maybe 2 breast enhancements a year. They do more important things such as fixing peoples noses because they have sleep apnea or other things. There has to be a good reason for it. Normally those that get breast enhancements or liposuctions are those that are in severe depression.

Just so you know!

Thank you so much for your comment pageantgirl31413, I am happy someone who was/is directly involved with the military came to comment on the issue.

I hope so bloodnlatex, it would be great if we could see some comments from people who has used these services.

I back you up bingskee.

Glad to see you around here Princessa. Great topic!

Very interesting and informative!! Much of what I acquire is through the Barter system. My car needs a new transmission, I photograph the mechanic's daughter and record her wedding. Same with yard work, our Air Condition repair man just received beautiful family beach portraits, for our new GE unit. Hmmm.....wondering if this barter system might work with a plastic surgeon. Offer him/her a personally designed popart or creative photos?? Peace ~K

Very good idea Kim, I am sure there would be several surgeons/clinics interested. I was once offered free plastic surgery for a tv program (kind of cosmetic surgery tourism big brother) I didn't like the idea, but someone else I knew jumped in and had a boob job that way and she was delighted with the results!

Now, that would be something to write about... the topless chef, a view I would not like to miss:) Actually Rodney, men go for "boob jobs" too to achieve those manly pectorals that you see in the magazines.

Anath profile image

Thank you articleposter, plastic surgery is not for everyone, cosmetic or not it is still a major surgical procedure.

That's right, it give you something to talk about michellebx. Thanks for the visit.

I believe that they started as a way to "tempt" people to join in. However, in actual practice I think (or at least I would like to believe) that most procedures are offered to those who need them for medical reason and not just for cosmetic vanity. It would be interesting to have some militars commenting here, wouldn't it?

Anath profile image

Anath  says:

:) I think no one should do it to please someone else. A surgery is a major medical procedure and it should be done for the right reason; even if your reason is plain vanity it should be YOUR vanity and not your boyfriend's. Thanks for commenting smith114a.

Thank you very much for the information, great hub.

Although if you dont live in the UK and are not in the Military and dont have a physically abusive spouse taking a chance on the kindness of strangers "strings attached money" is a little scarey. For the transgender out in the cold on this it is more frustrating since though they have been disfigured by the wrong hormones for years from birth most of USA society and culture seem to think it is cosmetic and superficial. Sad.

Anath profile image

Anath  says:

Now you know Sandi 3m.

Thanks for sharing your concerns, ladyeagle_cdc

Thank you dohn121, I enjoyed writing this hub, it was very interesting researching in possible ways to obtain free cosmetic surgery.

Good talissa!

I never thougth about that, thanks for bringing it to my attention Sibli. It is true that transgender people are sadly treated as freaks and that should change, we should learn to be more tolerant and understanding. Cosmetic surgery could change not only the looks of a person but his self esteem, his attitude towards life and most important, other people's attitudes towards them.
